What Students Say

Likes

All three important landmarks be it Kamala Nagar Market, Old Delhi Railway Station or Vishwavidyalaya all are easily accessible from our campus.
For decades and decades our college is ranked among top 10 DU Colleges.

Dislikes

Labs needed to be little superior as rest all infrastructure is good but labs.

Course Curriculum Overview

Our course is vast and is in direction with DU syllabus. Assignments and all are personally assigned by college and they are lengthy and sometimes felt meaningless too. If these meaningless assignments are removed rest all which is taught in our college is top class.

Class Size: 53Course Fees: INR 18000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Deloitte and some pharma companies and it depends as every semester some other names pops up. Main is that most intenrships provided through college are remote intenrships and stiped are offered better than most.

Placement Experience

Training and illustrious activities related to placements start soon from second year. So, a lot of companies from various sectors where mathematics genius is required hires us with packages worth 10 lakhs even. 5 lakhs is very median for our course.

Fees and Financial Aid

KMC fees is 18000 a year for Mathematics and last year the academic fees was 17000. Some redeemable fees like for the library and security deposit and all were asked for and it was around 4500. Exam fees is also payable every year and it is around 1200 per semester.

Campus Life

One of the biggest campuses in North Campus as it's 14 acres big. There are two good canteens and two gates of the college. Entries are possible from either of them. Currently our auditorium is small but a new large auditorium is being constructed and otherwise our campus infrastructure is ready as both curricular and non curricular infrastructure both are top class.

Admission

I appeared for CUET and DU colleges were in my target list. Right from the rankings like ST, Stephens since it's a top rated college was my first choice but cut-off was 774 for that and for KMC it was 758 for general category for my course. My score since it was 760, the best that I could have was KMC.

Faculty

Let's be fair that we have a colonised mins and our faculties have managed to free us from that. So this is the best thing which I have liked about them. Naming my favourite professor would be tough as I have studied under 12-14 professors so far and all of them have been good.

Night Life

There a lot of popular places nearby North Campus as Dilli Hat and Kamla Nagar Ridge are a couple of them. We also have Connaught Place accessible easily from our campus and the night life of CP is famous all over.

The library is just the best thing that the college has , it is the largest in du, with computers study area all books and magazines newspaper and other necessities.
The students and teachers are very kind helpful ambitious and intelligent , you will learn a lot here.

Dislikes

The administration sometimes works too slowly regarding dew things.
The canteen is very big and food is also nice but in rain water gets concentrated there.

Placement Experience:

it is said that the placements of this college are good and average being 10LPA and 17 LPA the highest. Many companies come for the placement drive every year and many of seniors have got placement in their third year.

Likes

All girls college not male allowed in there without permission so everything feels right and safe
Conducts annual fests to change the vibe
Gotta know different types of people from different places

Dislikes

Student often get used to bad habits like smoking and drinking
To many protests everyone is doing protest even for the smallest inconvenience
Some teachers doesn't complete the syllabus they left it and students have to study on their own

Course Curriculum Overview:

Initially I wanted to choose physics honours with somehow I felt physics will get me to hard as per by 12 so I choose chemistry honours over physics honours and as if I am doing bsc so yeah it is giving me all the Chemistry by and I feeling alrighting am a learning will help me for job one day the classroom here are very small and very uncomfortable to set and study only thing for teaching I want to change for my department is the classrooms and examination schedule date sheet is also very bad for Delhi University like they change the date sheet 4 to 5 times within a month and till the one is not confirmed so yeah that's things

Dream college or not ?

Likes

Greenery of college campus and surrounding areas
Close metro access and other basic amenities
Diverse crowd which allows good exposure overall

Dislikes

Wifi Network is slow and not available at all places in campus

Course Curriculum Overview:

Life science includes zoology botany and chemistry considering this combo I think the study material is quite okay in terms of topics chemistry connects school teaching with one step ahead learning . Zoology provides new insights on various topics . Botany covers deeper understanding of syllabus . So overall it's good . Hands on lab work meets the demand of the subject . Also the topics taught match with the type of questions asked in exam. Difficulty level i would say it's moderate for botany and zoology but for chemistry is quite tough. Time management is a much needed skill for examination purpose. For course curriculum i would say more focus on current situation should be laid rather than history .

I like the atmosphere in our college. Our college promotes us to think beyond the boundaries.
We have lush green campus in vivek vihar . Our campus is surrounded by parks and we'll managed societies.
The student in our college share a very good mindset . Each student has some unique qualities or the other .

Dislikes

The faculty is not very good here . The teachers don't listen to problems faced by the students .
Our college's online presence is very disturbed. Our college website lags a lot and there are always issues with attendence.
The authorities are not very well managed .

Course Curriculum Overview:

I think that the course curriculum is good and well managed . The curriculum has all necessary subjects related to our course as well as all other necessary subjects like human values and basic ethics. I find our course curriculum is apt for our course . Thought their is a lag for more practical learning and skills. It will be better if they add more practical learning.

Wonderful life experience that can't be forgotten.

Remarks:

Good Remark: The college environment made it possible for me to have great friends and be the person who I have become. The teachers and facilities of well-equipped labs, guest lectures, events, library, etc. made it possible for us to have a great campus life. Bad Remark: The college management needs to update the library norms that they have (which made it difficult for us to have books for the weekend to study) and also need to provide students with better placement opportunities from the same field as the specializations.

KMC in my words

See...I kept Hindu college as my first reference in CSAS portal, and KMC was my 3rd preference after St Stephen's. I kept around 36 colleges with different courses. The reason I didn't keep KMC below all the colleges that I kept below KMC is because of it's upper edge in terms of academics, faculty members, location and their ranks. After I got KMC, I was really happy and when I realised that the possibilities of me getting Hindu or St Stephen's College were less, I was bit upset. But my sadness didn't last long cause later on after researching about KMC in detail I realised that it's no different from all the other colleges of North campus and some of the south campus colleges. It's liberal environment is what made me like this college more than the other colleges...Read More

KM COLLEGE - FILLED WITH COMPLAINTS ?

I chose it over others since it's the only north campus college with a good reputation and name providing Political Science Honours other than Hindu college , I preferred Hindu over it but due to inadequate marks I couldn't qualify for Hindu . And being a male limits my scope of availing colleges like Miranda House or LSR . Admission process is through CUET , eligibility is a great score in CUET exam , cut offs usually remain 900+/1000 for political science honours in DU for good colleges like Hindu , LSR , Miranda and more ....Read More

KMC is Karizmatic!!

St Stephens as for BSc it is arguably one of the best colleges of DU. The cut-off was just missed by some points or else, i would have been there. College wise we are also among the best and to get admissions here, CUET (UG) and then once the results are out, CSAS portal is where i registered. I booked my seat through there and locked ut before it was gone. Yes, sometimes we miss out on our favourite college due to that but it is inevitable to lock that on time as well....Read More
