What Students Say

Likes

Our teachers are really supportive and helpful.
Infrastructure is kind of good better than many du colleges
The students are really friendly and even faculty and staff

Dislikes

The attendance creteira really create struggle for the students who come from long distance. For example travelling 3hrs just to get to know teachers cancelled the classes
The admin office faculty never do a work on time.

Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum activities are kind of normal. I really want something interesting like i got a teacher this sem who gave us different types of curriculum activities as assignment instead of making us write 12 pages that is waste of time and efforts in my opinion. The exam level is moderate to high but overall average student can score good.

Class Size: 50Course Fees: INR 13000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Our college provide intership that are like social activities... people can join internship program instead of sec and will get a certificate you just have to give interview for internship and then after completing working hours you will get your certificate.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee is 13,500 approx , yes it is increasing because in first year i paid around 12k and now it is 13,500 . Our college don't provide any scholarship like others. I hope we will get some scholarships atleast.

Campus Life

My overall experience was good i completed my ncc , i joined sports..i went to different conferences i became the president of my department and also became the secretary of peace club society i met so many lovely people. Really best phase of my life.

Admission

Being honest i want to be in a girls college and without exploring much i just filled up girls colleges with my fav course (political science hons) and i got this college in first round. It was my third preference. I want to go in gargi but i didn't upgrade really don't know why but i genuinely enjoyed and loved this college

Faculty

The faculty members are really supportive, always help us regarding any problem. The course is a three year program for hons degree and 4 year for hons + research and exam system is really managed. The exam contains internal and theory exams

Interview Experience

Not really we just gave cuet and then when we came to college we attended orientation and also our department teachers and seniors interacted with us personally and then after document verification we attended our classes.

Night Life

Our college is at right place. No rush like other colleges.. really peaceful environment with different cafe's shops coffe shops and many more. You will get gurudwara temple and church too near our college

Other Applied Colleges

Gargi College - [GC] | Ba political science hons

Freezed without upgrade

The prices in canteen is very high with low quality food.
I dislike the thing that a few professors favour some fix students.

A Day at College

Likes

Affordable fee structure that makes higher education accessible to students from different financial backgrounds.
Flexible learning system, allowing students to manage their studies alongside other responsibilities.
Opportunity to pursue a degree from delhi university through open and distance learning.

Dislikes

Limited opportunities for regular classroom interaction and face to face engagement with teachers and fellow students.
Students pursuing distance learning may need to rely more on self-study and independent preparation
More regular communication, student support, and interactive academic activities would improve the overall learning experience

Course Curriculum Overview:

The BA English Honours curriculum at DU SOL is relevant and provides a strong foundation in literature and language. The course covers diverse topics that support academic learning and critical thinking. The flexible structure is suitable for distance-learning students. Adding more practical activities, updated study materials, and interactive learning opportunities could further improve the overall course experience.

Overall best

Likes

My college was a girl's college. There are maximum 60students in a class. Prints were quite cheap in the college cafe.
There were many fest functions in my college. I also participated in the dance fest in my first year. We also used to go on picnics from college.
India's chief guest at the annual function was M Venkaiah Naidu.

Dislikes

College fees were very high for general category people.
The behavior of many teachers was quite rude and arrogant as if they were teaching us for free.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I wanted to do PhD in Political Science but due to percentage I took up BA program. Teachers used to provide notes but mostly I used to be off. There was nothing wrong with the college. Exam timings were good.

Infrastructure is not that good, college is a non dusu affiliated

Course Curriculum Overview:

As a future law student philosophy was one of the options which was good to opt. Secondly, comparatively less people opt it and it can be one of the better choices if you are preparing for upsc and taking it as an optional. Teaching can be made more interactive as the topics are really interesting

The Best is Yet to Come !!

I had applied for a number of other colleges, but after the allotment got it into the present one. but I am totally happy here about my course, the co- curricular activities and about the faculties. If I start to compare my college with other colleges, there are a number of places where my college is a bit behind, may be in the case of infrastructure or placements. The main reason I was not able to be of another college was about the marks that I achieved in cuet ug and I guess more preparation was necessary. The admission process was easy, where the admission letter was given along with my marksheet of 12th standard and cuet scores was submitted. I had applied for a number of North campus colleges and I didn't get it into them , the reason is about the marks scored in cuet ug.I didn't get any rejection from any of the college. The eligibility criteria is all about your cuet scores, according to which you get admission into various colleges....Read More
