Remarks

One of the best college to join in respect of engineering study in Odisha. Paying large amount in private college to get placement at the end. It's better to join VSSUT, which has full of opportunities in manner of placement and higher study also.

Course Curriculum Overview

As a Autonomous university, It has its own course of curriculum which is diverse from other technical Institute which comes under BPUT. Here exam structure based on semester, sessional, seminars & project.

Placement Experience

In manner of placements, it provides maximum placement irrespective of branch. It provides on campus as well as off campus placement. Yes it provides internship. It provides unpaid internship. Very few students get paid internship.

College Events

Samavesh- Technical Fest Vassunt- Cultural fest Illumina- sports fest Along with every department has its own annual fest. Apart from this there is alumini fest in regular interval. Startup yatra, tedx etc are the other events.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is feasible. Various loans and scholarships are also available for economically backward class. In four years a student has to pay around 2lkhs in engineering. In other streams it is around 1.5 lakhs

Fees and Financial Aid

A student, who is studying in VSSUT can available all state government scholarship like Medhabruti. SBI & Syndicate bank provides educational loans. Which is really helpful to a student. During admission process only banks provide the scheme to every student. Those who are interested can avail.

Campus Life

Apart from study a student can join various clubs like Robotics Society, Emotica ( cultural society) , Vibranz( Dance club) , souls ( Singer club) , enigma( coding club) , SAE ( Racing Club), IIC ( innovation club). All are active and really good.

Hostel Facilities

I was a hostelier. Hostel are very good in respect of cleanliness maintenance, & food & facility. VSSUT has one of the largest hostel in Odisha in comparison to any other engineering college in Odisha. It has 6 boys & 6 girls hostel.

Alumni/Alumna

There is a large alumni network all over the world. As it is one of the oldest college in Odisha since 1957. Senior junior relationship relationship something more than any love story. The brotherhood can be celebrated rest of our life. And they are really helpful in any situation

Admission

There is 2 way, you can admit into this college. First one is through JEE Mains. And the second one is OJEE. This college offers courses like B.Tech, B.Arch, MCA, Msg, integrated M.Tech, Integrated Msc.

Faculty

Faculty are highly qualified & equipped with knowledge. 70% of them are PHD holders. So it's a healthy environment to grow and have a bright future. Without any doubt it is one of the best engineering college in Odisha.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is now updated since it became a University, so its more relevant to industry now but still we have to do extra courses for coding. Exams happen every few months—2 internals and one end-sem. They are not very easy, you actually need to study to pass without backlogs

Likes

The infrastructure of each campus in the college is very pretty and it's a green campus
The classrooms are well equipped with WiFi, Smart-boards for digital education.
Also travelling from one campus to another has been made easier as buses and golf carts are provided to students

Dislikes

The crowd of students here is too much which feels too much chaotic and disturbing .
The hostel management here as they don't give importance to the major issues here.
The hostel mess food. The quality is degrading day by day

Placement Experience:

The placements of my college is good. This year 75% of the students are already placed with an average package of 8LPA . The highest package till now for this year is 22LPA. Many companies have visited for the placements and 100+ offers have been made. Companies like BNY, Infosys, Deloitte, Accenture, Capgemini, Cognizant, Bain& Company, High Radius, TCS, EY, PWC and many more of them have visited the campus.

The college campus greenery and campus cleaning management are doing really very well that is the only good part but that doesn't matter much for your career.
⭐⭐There is nothing good to mention about this college after going through all the procedures from taking admission to degree,I regret and many of my friends also regretting taking admission into this college.⭐⭐

Dislikes

They have a good well maintained cricket ground but students are never allowed there only for commercial purposes and to attract new joinee.
Staff and management are very helpful and polite only till admission done.🥲.
Hostel food quality is extremely unhigenic, no one takes responsibility after many complaints also.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum was very classical , too much theory oriented for placement point of view they will provide last 1 month or 2 months training for aptitude part rest for technical you have to study on your own.

The campus life after college hours is quite engaging and helps us develop as a person.
Extra curricular activities are into multiple options.
Faculties are good in nature,they teach us like a friend.

Bad condition of the washrooms ,not cleaned.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum includes the real projects which help learn more practically. It would had been better to have more site and industrial visits and export sessions to learn better.The exams are not so difficulty to score.

Beautiful campus with lot's of space and with good computer labs
They conduct exam in very smoothly manner

Dislikes

Need to improve administrative building while submitting fees many students face problem
Lab session of some subjects are too long which is around 3 hrs which need to reduce for atleast 2 hrs

Placement Experience:

Placement opportunities in my college are good, with students generally becoming eligible for campus placements from the pre-final or final year, depending on the course and company criteria. The college has an active placement celll that supports students by Organizing training sessions, resume building and also mock interviews.

The pedagogy is excellent since majorly learning is through real-world case studies, reserach papers, peer discussions and interactive class activities. The professors provide materials and pre-reads at the starting of the term and the content is highly focussed on practical learning. The AI sessions are enriching. The difficulty level of exams vary among the instructors but usually is aligned with topics already taught.

there are smart class rooms and good faculty for my course and various extracurricular activities are available for students
you can compete many state and national level competitions such as essay writings, creative writings, debate, poster making, etc.
the management of the university is really commendable. various departments and cells have been established to help students in their academic life such as; placement cells, incubation and innovation centers for young entrepreneurs

Dislikes

students who are engaged in political activities often exercise their dominance over other students
sanitation could be better with the mutual efforts of both the students and the college management
though is a placement cell present, i haven't seen many numbers of students getting employed through the university placement cell

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well MBBS is a serving degree, if you are interested in serving the people you can choose this degree. It also needs a lot of patience, here we have classes from 7 AM so its a bit hard to wake up this early & ends at 4 PM which causes more trouble coz u won't get to rest properly, usually we end up being tired & lack of sleep, so I think this schedule can have a bit more change with regards to us children. The exams here are done very frequently, as in the class tests are taken up time to time , sometimes surprise tests are also done so u have to be very updated with what's being studied each cls.The internals are held in every trimester & at the end of the year a product exam is being held which is the important one.

The professor who taught in our class they are taught is best In teaching.
They provide you many opportunities to work upon on you.
The infrastructure of college is good and huge.

Dislikes

The campus is very vast, and you have to walk for every minute of work.
The are very serious about your study and what you are doing
The gate get closed if you get came late even it's 5-10 minute late.

Placement Experience:

It's good as many company come but the placement directly depend on your study and hard work of your 4 year and a pre placement also conduct in 3rd year where you can also get placed. For placement the student should secure 8-10 cgpa for sit in interview exam.

I have applied to only Outr(formerly Cet Bhubaneswar). I have applied on the technical branches, but got none of them as my rank was around 152000. As Cet is not very good for its core branches, so I preferred Vssut over it. To get technical branches in cet bhubaneswar your rank should be under 50000 in Jee mains. The admission process is through the OJEE COUNSELLING. It is the counselling only for the students of odisha and anyone out of Odisha appearing the OJEE examination. VSSUT as seen by 2nd years

I applied for outr Bhubaneswar and vssut burla. I was getting electrical branches in both the colleges. But in outr there are not enough hostels for student neither the campus is that much attracting. O the other hand vssut have total 11 hostel and can accommodate every student studying and the campus is also somewhat good. But for csit branches there are not enough facilities in vssut To get admission here you have to get a rank in jee main exam and have to go through ojee counselling. To get to cse branch your all India rank must be within 1lakhs and for electrical branch its about 1.5lakhs and for lower branches production rank does not matter that must there are seats pending vacant you can get them via spot counselling...Read More
