Likes
- the class timings are really flexible that is maximum 5 hours in a day
- there are a lot of fun events in college every other day
- the male to female ratio is approx 1:1 and both genders jam well with each other
Dislikes
- the money factor i would say is one thing which doesnt add up if placements are considered
- the freedom provided here might not be the best for everyone u need to have self control over yourself
- people here can get too entitled and the pda inside might bother you but you will find your people
Course Curriculum Overview
the cirriculum is designed in a way such that most of the outdated and uselss things are removed this year and the labs of each subjects help you well enough to dive deeper into the application of the subject . some areas for improvement can be removing unnecessary subjects like manufacturing process for cse students . main exams are held every 3 months and the difficulty is moderate
Fees and Financial Aid
5 lakhs tuition fees for btech computer science engineering and 3 lakhs hostel fees if opted inside the college . you can save money upto 1 lakh every year if you opt fot pg but students prefer living inside due to comfort , ease of commuting and the facilities provided inside
Campus Life
campus life here is diverse and really fun if you get out of your hostel room the main flagship cultural fest held here is oneiros which happens during march and april hackathons and other events are held throughout the semster by different clubs . library is well equipped with all kind of books from management to philosophy to engineering . classrooms have ac , projectors and comfortable chairss the campus has basketball football tennis and a beautiful cricket ground . hostels also have indoor games like tt squash chess and two big gyms with sauna there are a lot of clubs inside which include film making tech clubs photography videography debate writing etc
Hostel Facilities
the room is equipped with indoor ac and rooms which look like hotels meal is generally fine and has a lot of variety hostel is registered during admission and can also be taken after coming to the campus
Admission
i got offer letter from vit chennai (had 20k rank) and some colleges from comedk (18k) i chose muj over these colleges because of the location factor as i didnt prefer living in south india due to food and language issues apart from this our college provides good exposure and the manipal tag . you can get admission in two ways one is through direct admission and other is through the met exam cutoff for met is 38 k rank i joined at 16k rank . the most preffered course here is cse . the admission process went smooth
Faculty
one faculty has around 60 student in one class we also have a teacher guardian assigned to every student who helps in academic as well as personal issues . most of them know well what they are teaching and are ambitious for it . they even help after class hours and available to you on calls and mails if you want to contact them . there are two main exams in one semester that are mid terms and end terms and 3 quizzes spread over the semester , exams here are not that tough but ofc you need to study
Night Life
entry inside hostel gates is 9 pm and inside hostel blcks is 11 pm and 6am in morning there are many shops inside hostel and nightlife is crazy the campus gates close 12 am as library is open till then . the locality outside hostel blocks is not that safe but inside hostel is amazing
