There is no such enterance required to choose bcom hons. A student just need to pass Class 12 scoring above 95%. Like every student dream my dream too was to go in SRCC college but my percentage was only 94% . I had two option left either coming to dyal singh college or going to bhagat singh evening. Since I wanted the morning atmosphere I choosed dyal singh over bhagat singh.
The culture of our college is good. You will find more girls in our college than boys. The reason being the girls are given 3% concession in their cut off percentage in their admission. There are no such bias or tolerance with regard to gender race religion etc.
Good college as per me to have 360 degree development of the student. It will gives you all type platform to perform and excel in the particular field.Still as we say there is always a scope of improvement in anything so does in the infra, faculty and top management of the college. Few people take the college as granted and do any thing just on the name on maintaining discipline, which I think is not good for the development of the student and for the future of the this country. I still believe that even in the Top colleges of this country we have few orthodox people which are pulling us back.
As my college is one of the Top 20 Colleges in India. The course was highly professional and designed very well so that you can get a good exposer to the current markets and fast changing knowledge environment. the faculty was also highly qualified and having a vast and deep industry knowledge. Most of the faculty which was coming to teach us in final year was from industry only so that we can get a knowledge of present market conditions and corporate culture.
Campus life is very great and i m fully enjoying it. Gender ratio is quit less but thats not a big deal. Extracurricular are pretty good. Labs are not very good but in ok conditions. As i have passed recently from my college, i know better my colleges' pros and cons. The main advantage is knowledge and study. All classes are scheduled very properly and classes are given by the best teachers available. Other than class all teachers are very helpful. But Hod are not so helpful and worst. Placement is very good and more than 70 companies had visited. The cons are- The level goes to the higher like hod, directors and management, it going very poor. They are not too helpful.

It is very well compared to other colleges of the MDU university. There is proper placement training going on for preparation for interviews and aptitudes. Many MNC's are coming and i'm sure there can be 100% placement in every department, be it technical or sales.
Thats good too. The campus is quite big has many cafeterias, a big and well maintained cricket ground which often hosts corporate cricket matches, 3-4 basketball courts, and a complete basement for indoor games like table tennis, badminton, chess, carrom etc.

In 1st year we have visited bunch of factories and OEM's it an nice experience.
Placements are pretty decent. Average package about eight lakhs. Very few students were placed a few years back but that was probably because of their backlogs. Course was previous MA but is now M.sc. so that should work as an advantage for the students as it is more rigorous and has more demand.
The course curriculum is a bit easy and basic. (Specially students from Delhi university will find it pretty easy)But there's a lot of focus on the current happenings which is any day more important.
Gender ratio is about 60:40, students are encouraged to participate in extra curricular activities. Laboratory and workshops are up to the mark. Zero tolerance for any compliance issue
I would rate as average. College can improve in dress code rest all things are mostly up to the mark.
There is no entrance test for admission in this college. Its based on merit. So if you are a go on cut off,you could easily take admission by just simply filling the form and paying the required fees. PS-no interviewI always wanted to take admission in B.Com(hons) as it is a high level course with future good placement .
Though i dont have personal opinion on this topic, but still from what I have heard, job opportunities are quite good. Many big companies come here for reqruietment.Last year maximum package went to 18lac and the minimum was 3.5lac.
