The university conducts various programs throughout the academic year for different occasions. Foundation Day is celebrated for 3 days and includes a wide range of cultural programs. Technical festivals are not conducted that much as technical courses are limited in number in the university. The library contains all the main journals and famous books related to the specified field that can be accessed by all the students. The sports department conducts various athletic activities, competitions, and events. There aren't many clubs in the university. Classrooms are equipped with smart boards speakers projectors and other facilities.

Then the examination procedures are good because there is perfect examination control in the University. They are conducting exams correctly after the portions are over and the results are also published within a week.

The facilities are better. The library has a wide collection of books and articles. And also Pondicherry University's reading room is active from 8 AM to 3 AM.

Campus life is pretty good. The campus is very big and have a lot of places to hangout. One thing that I don't like about my college is the girls in time. All girls have to go inside their hostels by 9pm and it's too early I feel. Most of the clubs are very active here and are doing good in various competitions. We are winning in MooD IndiGo, Spring Fest etc. The Library here is big and has almost all of the required books. BIT Mesra has organises two fests. One is the technical fest known as Pantheon which happens in September - October and the other fests is the cultural fest called "BITOTSAV" very famous fest.

In first year we have to study all the branches of engineering superficially and I find that kind of irrelevant to some extent. 3rd semester onwards core engineering subjects will be introduced and more core labs will be there which will be more relevant and interesting to give time in. In mechanical engineering subjects becomes a lot more interesting from 3rd semestera and the labs are also very well maintained and have useful machineries.

Many festivals helds in our college by different department and they are very amazing and fantastic.I loved and enjoyed my college festivals .The Annual Festival of B.A programme was one such fest organised by our department . The library is very attractive and beautiful. Library infrastructure is very attractive. Thousands of books and journals can be seen in library. Classrooms are lessed with technology and we can also study on projection screen. Classroom amenities are of average quality they are not too much technically modern. Dance society and music society are in the college . Students of these society are very progressive and qualitative. They do best in their field .Some students are in NCC and NSS .

Tuitions fees are not too high at my time it was just 7055 ,however currently it has been increased and 12000rs is current fee. The Placements are pretty impressive , we have an average package of 18 LPA , and the CSE average package is 22 LPA . The median package in CSE was 18 LPA in the year 2002-23 . Also great internship opportunities are provided . Even if you don't get a placement , the college degree has a great reputation as it is an NIT , you will not be in danger .

I would rate the Computer Science course as 9.5/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness . The professors in our department have an ample knowledge of the subject and they are ready to guide the students in all possible ways . Sometimes , in the first year , it may appear as hectic . But overall , it is good .

From 3-2 full time placements will be started but the internship opportunities will be provided from 2-2 it's self we should grab that opportunity.more than 100 companies visits our college.highset package is above 50 lakh per annum and average package is 9 lakh per annum.we should maintain cgpa above 7.5 to place in good companies.

Placements are average. Companies used to come were not very well known. Maximum there was small start up companies, Salary package was not more that 5 LPA for our batch. In the name of placements college used to forward some other companies Linked in vaccancies links some times. Maximum of the times the role offered to us were in management or sales categories. For me thats not a problem but for other technical aspirants it was.

I have chosen because I have an interest about new technologies and computer related things. There are sufficient number of faculty members so student teacher ratio is decent. Faculty members are well qualified and supportive in case of academic and other problem also. Course curriculam is relevant and makes you job-ready. Exams are conducted timely and not too difficult to pass.
