There's a lot to walk to reach places but still not like we can't reach as well. Social life is good here. It's very peaceful for students to interact and not restricted by any form. There's a lot of clubs and they have a lot of fun together and interact, increasing social life in college style.

The fees structure is like about 1.5 lakhs for a year and varies towards the years. Towards the end of 4 years I won't spend more than 8lakhs for sure including mess and hostel which are each 30k per set, super cheap compared to private colleges. I am a person who doesn't come from low income house. But I do know scholorship is given for both ews and obc and such categories.

There are festivals organized in the campus but it is not on such big scale also it maily represents the pahadi culture that is the culture of uttarakhand when there are soo many students from outside the state. It must be a little more comfortable to others. Being an outsider here is difficult.

There is more focus on Academics irrespective of any event occurs here except Zygon which is an annual event that happens here in February or March. The sports facility is limited but well equiped. There are various clubs on various fields which will help you in different situations.

There are two main fests in NITK, Incident, a cultural fest held in even semesters (March) and Engineer, during the odd semester (October). I was pretty interested in electronics and signal transmission etc. ECE in NITK offers quite a challenging course, and scoring a cgpa of 7.0 and above requires you to understand the course concepts thoroughly. Although the college is pretty old, the courses get updated every 5 years, and theres a lot of flexibility in choosing electives and topics for major projects, mjniprojects etc. under the guidance of well qualified professors. Quizzes are held every month and there's the Mid semester and End Semester exams for every semester.
