DTU Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

The placements are a very good privilege of being in a tier 1 college. Students are available for placements in their 7th semester and for internships in their 5th semester. All the top companies like FAANGM come to placements in the college. The highest package awarded this year in my knowledge was 70 LPA.

From the 6th semester, students become eligible for campus placements. There is a large no of companies that visited our campus including Google, Microsoft, IBM, Mahindra, Accenture etc. with a high no of offers. There are 1366 students placed with INR 1.09 CPA as the highest package and average package of INR 13.24 LPA in the year 2020-21. The percentage of students getting placed is very decent about more than 60% of students get placement. My plan after getting a degree is to start my own start-up.

The placement percentage is still fine but there are some issues too. There is a lot of demand in IT INDUSTRY and therefore most of the jobs available are for tech side. So, for cs related branches it's a win-win whereas for Core branches it's a struggle.

From 3rd year only many top companies including Google and Amazon start coming to the campus for internships and placement opportunities. The placement percentage is around 80-85% for all the branches and more for software branches. Google, Amazon, Microsoft, Bain, Sprinkler, Wipro, etc are some of the top companies that come for recruitments.

From 7-semester students are eligible for campus placements. Here many companies come like google , amazon, uber, Facebook, atlassian ,gameskarft , visa, and many more. basically, many of the students which applied for jobs were only selected according to the requirement but here many companies so students able to get their job.

From the end of third year students are eligible for placements! Companion like google, paytm, Adobe, Deloitte, BlackRock, reliance, tata, wipro, tcs, apple, samsung, collegedunia, Goldman's sachs, etc and many more visit for the placements for the profile of develpers, analyst, product manager, consultant, business development etc! Highest package goes around 50-60 lacs (as of now it's offered by apple), it's not fixed though, all time high package offered in dtu was around 1 crore, so it changes according to year! Overall 75-85 Percent students get placed, and it varies according to branch, highest selections are from software/computer branches! I'll be joining collegedunia soon hopefully as I've secured an offer from it recently!

You'll become eligible for the placements after 6th sem most of the companies are related to software background so you need to start coding from the 1st year or 2nd irrespective of the branch you'll get any companies like Microsoft, Adobe if you know and you fit in their eligibility criteria branch is not an issue here almost everyone will get a chance to be placed but some students opt for higher studies or any other govt. Preparation there are many students from DTU who cracked UPSC exams every year.

Students become elegible for campus placements from the start of their 7th semester. Alot of companies visit DTU and all major ones like Deloitte, Bain, Paytm and others. Almost all the students that seek placement gets placed.

After the 3rd year, we can apply for companies, and for the third year, we can apply for internships. The Average CGPA one must contain is about 7. For every semester so that they can be eligible for giving every test provided by companies. Companies that came on the campus are alot. Even bigger companies like Amazon, Google, and other big companies have also come to the campus to give students the opportunity to be part of it.

The placement scenario is quite favorable. The institute has a dedicated student-led placement committee that works tirelessly to get placements for students. The average package was 7.5 LPA and the highest offered was 18 LPA.
