Ques. Which is better, NIT Agartala for CSE or IIIT Allahabad for ECE?

● Top Answer By Sayantani Barman on 19 Jun 21

Ans. According to my friends at NIT Agartala, it does not provide good placement opportunities and the highest CTC of the college is also decreasing day by day. But the placement at IIIT Allahabad is much better in comparison to NIT Agartala. The ECE placements are not better than CSE but you will get a good job from there.  The placement statistics of IIIT Allahabad and NIT Agartala is as follows: Categories IIIT Allahabad NIT Agartala Placement percentage 96% 50% Companies visited 120+ 32 Highest CTC offered INR 43 LPA. INR 32 LPA. Average CTC offered INR 20.83 LPA. INR 5 LPA. Also, the infrastructure, faculties, placement, and location are also good at IIIT Allahabad. It is suggested you choose IIIT Allahabad over NIT Agartala.Read more

Ques. How is NIT Agartala in terms of academics, hostels, facilities, studies, and placements?

● Top Answer By Shivani Tiwari on 29 May 21

Ans. I have a relative who passed out from NITA, however, I have updated the statistical data as of 2020: Faculty: As per many students, NITA has good faculties. About 65% of the lecturers are Ph.D. holders. The course curriculum is mostly up-to-date and industry-relevant. Faculty members are friendly and helpful. Hostels & Facilities: Facilities are very good at NITA with good libraries (one among is digital), auditorium, premium hostels, workshops & labs with no shortage of equipment, all-time medical facilities, and good sports facilities with a huge sports complex. Classrooms and labs are well-maintained.  Placement: Placement is not very much impressive because of its remote location. The average salary is Rs 5 LPA and the highest salary was 36 LPA. The recruiters are IT companies like Infosys, IBM, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, Samsung, Oracle, Info edge, etc, and non-IT companies like MuSigma, L&T, Kirloskar, Vedantu, etc. Students: Overall quality of students is really good. Students who are qualified for the national level entrance exam (AIEEE/JEE) and most rank in the top 10% in the respective entrance exam. NIT Agartala is a very good option however, consider looking at the actual situation of the institution along with the reviews before getting admitted.Read more

Ques. Which is better - PEC Chandigarh or NIT Agartala?

● Top Answer By Gagan Umang on 04 May 21

Ans. Although NIT Agarta holds a bigger brand name, it is still a growing NIT. On the other hand, PEC has an older history of about 100 years and continues to flourish.  Categories NIT Agartala PEC Chandigarh Course Fee 5.14 - 6.31 lakh 6.39 lakh Placement Percentage 75% 85-90% Highest CTC 13 LPA 40 LPA Average CTC 5-6 LPA 10 LPA Recruiting Companies Accenture, Goldman Sachs, Godrej, L&T, etc. Google, Amazon, Capgemini, etc. Here are some insights into the PEC according to my friends who completed their B.Tech from there. Faculty: PEC has some of the best-experienced faculties and many research scholars. On the other hand, NIT struggles to have enough experienced professors as the NIT is newly established. Location: Chandigarh is at advantage any day because of its easy proximity and being an education hub. It is better in terms of facilities and coaching centers too. Whereas, Agartala is at a huge disadvantage due to accessibility and opportunities. Quality of students: You can see a huge difference in the cutoff trend of JEE Mains rank for both the colleges. In the case of NIT Agartala, about 50% of the total seats are reserved for home-state candidates in the range of 90k to 1.5 lakh. Whereas the cutoff trend is much lower at PEC with just over 60 K for branches like metallurgy! Clubs: You can choose over various clubs at PEC Chandigarh. Theseclubs are well renowned and they have even gained respect in IITs during fests and events. All in all, it is recommended to choose PEC Chandigarh any day over NIT Agartala. PEC definitely belongs to the league with NIT Surat, Allahabad, and others. However, if the NIT tag is all that you are looking for, then go for NIT Agartala.Read more

Ques. Which is better, ECE at NIT Agartala or CSE at IIIT Guwahati?

● Top Answer By Souvick Rao on 29 Apr 21

Ans. Between ECE at NIT Agartala and CSE at IIIT Guwahati, CSE at IIIT Guwahati would be a better choice. Even though NIT Agartala is an NIT and will give you an NIT tag, IIIT Guwahati will give you better exposure when it comes to coding. Also, IIIT Guwahati has rapidly grown in the past years and it is the highest-ranked IIIT by NIRF rankings 2020. Here is an inside in the CSE program offered by IIIT G. Average CTC 11 LPA Highest CTC 17 LPA Course Fee 9 lakhs The B.Tech (CSE) at IIIT Guwahati primarily focuses on computing-oriented courses in the first year. It allows the possibility of doing science courses later. You will learn and enjoy at IIIT Guwahati. I hope you make a good decision.Read more

Ques. Should I choose BIT Mesra or NIT Agartala for production engineering?

● Top Answer By Vineet Kumar on 20 Apr 21

Ans. BIT Mesra is hands down a better choice over NIT Agartala. A few of my friends have studied at both BIT Mesra and NIT Agartala. Following points are based on their respective experience: BIT has an amazing infrastructure, facilities, brand value, and student culture. Hostels are well maintained and are connected with High-speed internet facilities. The campus has a student-friendly ambiance and the weather at Ranchi is top-notch. The curriculum is well balanced and up-to-date with today's technological trends. Apart from studies, the institute even focuses on various personality development and career counseling programs. Many core companies visit the campus frequently and IT companies are always there for backup in the worst-case scenario so that you will not remain unplaced.  The only factor in which NIT Agartala seems better is in terms of tuition fees. BIT Mesra has twice the fee of NIT Agartala but it is justified for the quality of education, infrastructure, and facilities they provide. Quick comparison: Particulars BIT Mesra NIT Agartala Total seats offered(CSE) 33 56 Entrance exam BITSAT JEE mains Cutoff 29665-35847 200254-251247 Tuition fee 1,46,500 77,700 Placement rate 82% 75% Highest CTC offered 28 LPA 17LPA If you are truly interested in production engineering, it's better to opt BIT Mesra rather than NIT Agartala as BIT leads in every single aspect over NITA.Read more

I got admissions in the NITA JEE Mains exam is mandatory for a student to pass. There is also a quota for ST, SC, or OBC student NITA. The admission procedure is good enough, NITA maintains good punctuality during admission. There is around seven round of selection of stream. After admission, if anyone wants to switch the stream he or she can apply for another round.

Remarks :

The admission process was long but it was a govt institute. First I thought, yes I do my degree from any state govt college. Some several courses are there like physics, chemistry, math for science students. Also, I gave JEE main and the result came out. I got 54 marks and that was quite low for Jee. This is Tripura, northeast so I get Nit Agartala. So I was lucky enough. After that, I went to college for the next selection process. After I decided if I had to study, I will do it in this college. Because of the surrounding of this institution, also facility they provide in that admission time was awesome. One thing is most, college course fees are much higher. And after I gave exam and exam. That's a part of human life. Last year that was a pandemic time so we gave exam in online mode. Online exams are different from offline exam. You have to have two devices. Most of the students have huge Internet issues and many power problem. So the institute has taken few steps for these issues.

Remarks :

After JEE Mains, I applied for 2-3 NITs, but I got selected for NIT Agartala Only. There were few criterias for admission. They select you on the basis of JEE rank, but for admission, you need to submit your 12th marks (mainly PCM group). One should have 75% in their 12th examination for admissions. But many a times, upto 70% is also allowed. There are hostel facilities for students who are from outside of Tripura. The students from Tripura can also apply for hostels but the priority is given to the students who are from outside of the state.

I had applied to KIIT University but did not attend this college due to bad financial condition. After that, I cleared the JEE MAINS Exam in 2017 and got admission to the National Institute of Technology Agartala. I did not avail any special category (quota) for admission. But there are some reserved seats for the state quota in every NIT. So I got the advantages of this state quota. The Minimum Marks required to get admission to NIT Agartala is 75% for General candidates and 65% for SC/ST Candidates. JOSAA conducted counselling for admission in various NITs and IITs in India.

Remarks :

I have low rank that's why its my last option to take this college and i got biotechnology branch in college but after 1st year I have changed my branch to electrical engineering. NITA is one of the most beautiful NIT in India and it is more than your expectations, dont judge college by its NIRF ranking its pretty good platform to boost yourself towards future and in placement aspect all NIT's almost have similar type of placement record so if you work hard and passionately you will definitely get success.

"Well"

I got admissions in the NITA JEE Mains exam is mandatory for a student to pass. There is also a quota for ST, SC, or OBC student NITA. The admission procedure is good enough, NITA maintains good punctuality during admission. There is around seven round of selection of stream. After admission, if anyone wants to switch the stream he or she can apply for another round.

"The Green institute"
