University of Calcutta Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

I chose this course because I wanted to pursue masters. There are a lot of faculty members. On an average for one subject there are three to four professors. On each semester two internals were held. But the syllabus was bullshit. The syllabus for 10 marks exam was the full book. Moreover they didn't even give proper marks to the students.

I have always wanted to pursue my careers in psychology and Gokhale is one of the oldest and reputed institution in the city for this discipline. The department consists of 6 professors and 40 students on average. The associate professors have doctorate and the assistant professors have either complete their b.ed and m.phil. The faculty is pretty good and knowledgeable. The semesters usually happen in time and you need to put in enough effort to pass.

I choose Chemical engineering Dept because it is very old( one of the oldest department of Calcutta University). It has good alumni network and placement cell. Here in University, there is less no. of students so you can easily get placed in Top MNC'S.

Students get eligible for campus placement after their Graduation. College takes initiative via campus placement so that students get their decent start as a professional. •I didn't sit for a campus placement so i don't know the companies which came for job offers, but as heard reputed companies come for offering placements •The lowest package is 3.5 lakh p.a which goes upto 7 lakhs p.a for a B.com fresher. •60-65%% students get the placements in approax. •My plan was to get the degree for being eligible for Jobs once I become a Chartered Accountant.

I have choosen accounts and finance hons because from class 12 accounts was my favourite one and I have scored 80 marks in class 12 and the exams of 5th semester are hard because of maths and corporate accounts

Bhawanipur education society college is one of the best college in Kolkata Teachers are very helpful They teach soo good There is sports arena in our college and many more apart from study we can also participate in various games and sports which can enhance our cv and overall growth exam is not soo much hard you can easily pass the exam

Faculty members are very good they will teach you in a simple language but they will not repeat old topics again and again so you need to be sharp while learning new things and one of the professor Soumya mukherjee sir is best for accounts.

I love History?? The faculties are only doing there job greatly. Every teacher is good enough for us The class of honours are great. Every year a mid term is held throughout the college to check the performance of the Students..

I chose this course as I had interest in this subject and I used to secure good marks during my schooldays. Faculties were very good they had a nice way of teaching they used to explain the topics so well that we did not need to open our book even for a second. Class test were taken twice in a month to check our improvement as the subject was tough it was quite difficult to pass yet we used to pass as our base was clear and topics were imprinted in our brain all thanks to our faculties. Discussing all the prons the only cons is that this subject is not for every student so choose wisely.
