BSc in Psychology: Course, Admission 2026, Eligibility, Colleges, Syllabus, Fees, Salary, Jobs, Scope

The yearly fee structure of my course at Vimala college is approaching K to 30k per year depending on the course in the first year I paid around 18k which include tuition fees admission fees registration charges and development fees from the second year on awards the fees we are slightly reduced to around 18k. Student belonging to SC ST and other reserved categories have reduced fees and are eligible for government fee concessions many students receive scholarship like e grands

my overall experienced at vimala college is good the campus life is active cultural programs and annual fests usually held during dec-feb.the library has a good collection of books and journals for academics support . classrooms are well euipped with basic facilities and some digital learning tools

The curriculum in this college is uoto date, very relevant and with at par with the real world scenario, we learn about disorders, different schools of psychology and a lot more. There is a perfect balance of practical and theory, which is needed in psychology. In terms of improvement, there is always room for it, as of now there arent any suggestions from my side. The frequency of exams are fine, they give us time to prepare however I feel like as, according to the NEP, the semesters should be 6 months long but here they are cutting it short.

There are annual fests in our college though I am not aware with the name as I am only a first semester student. The range and accessibility of books in the library is just amazing, even the sitting area is so well maintained, great for studying or going through books. There are whiteboards, projectors and AC in most classrooms. For sports or any activity there are social clubs offered by our college that you can join and you can always see them doing something everyday, it makes the college look so lively.

The infrastructure is very good. There are multiple big and small auditoriums inside the campus. There are also places for different spots. There is a well equipped 2 floor gym and a yoga studio. The campus has centralized AC. There are 3 cafeterias and more than 4 stalls inside the campus. The classrooms are comfortable. There is a white board, green board and a TV. There are CCTV cameras all over the campus including 4 in each classroom. There are big and small events hosted by the college and different departments. The biggest fest is Atmatrisha. And for the psychology department the biggest event is Mental Wellness Week. There are also both college level and department level of clubs.

The annual fees in PES for BSc Psychology is 200000. The fees for the first year has to be paid. Later on based on the credit points scored in 1st year there will be a merit based scholarship for the upcoming years. Only for or the first year and additional 10000 had been paid for seat blocking purpose. Registration fee for this course is 1200. There are 3 scholarships based on merit 1. Prof. MRD scholarship provides 50% concession on the tution fees for first 5% students, 2. Prof. CNR scholarship provides 40% concession on the tution fees for the next 20% students and 3. Distinction award provides Rs. 2000 for all students scoring 7.75 SGPA and above.

we have RGF that will be held during March which is annual fest in my college, other than this there will be onam,pongal festivals . There is library and we have every books regarding each department which is accessible. We have projectors for the class along with whiteboard .sports and extra curricular activities conducted like NASA.we have clubs like nss ,ncc ,rotract ,and many other . Mycamu is used for student portal to learn and to have access to ppt's related to their subject.

At first I don't have any knowledge about this course . In my first semester I started to get things and the curriculum helps you to get real world applications for the future . In odd semester there will be less events so you can focus on studies but during even semester there will be plenty of events which causes distraction and the completion of syllabus will be in short time . Its difficult during even semester.

There are many functions held in colleges,some of the main functions are Arts festival,College day,Union and Freshers day,etc.These functions held from november onwards and ends in march. Library has a huge varieties of book needed for research purpose and also for studying.They also novels, poems,short stories in english,hindi,malayalam,etc. Faculties use technological provisions within classroom and it is good for seeing ppt.This college encourages students in sports and extracurricular activities. There are football,Coco,Hockey,Weight lifting,Basketball,Volleyball,etc.Many students won in competitions also.The college has won trophy in Dzone. There are mainly 4 social groups for students-NSS,NCC,CSA and Thavanish.

Most of the faculty is good to the students.We can approach them with no fear but it may vary sometimes.I like all the faculties who teaches me.They take care of us and worries about us as their children.There are 6 subjects in 1st,2nd,3rd,4th,5th and 6th semesters(including lab).For me every subjects is easy but language(Hindi) and psychology was a bit hard in 2nd semester .Actually the calicut university syllabus is not really good.We study things we don't need in our future.

There are 2 main fests in WCC, one is Festeve which is an intercollegiate event and it is usually held in February and the other is BattleFest which is an inter-departmental event and it takes place around september. there's also a sports day in march and Food Fest in august. Apart from that there will be departmental and club events happening every now and then. there are many books in the library and with the student ID card any book can be borrowed. each classroom will have a board and a projector. there are many clubs like photography, drama, classical singing, western dance, english L&D, Tamil L&D and many more there are other clubs like the innovation cell where students with business ideas come together and make it happen, there are also NCC, Rotract, NSS, Young Indian,Eco club to promote the service nature of the students.

The courses are well structured and interesting espcially the social psychology and basic psychology papers. in a semester there are 2 internal exams and they will be at least a month apart from each other. as long as you study your course materials, the exams are pretty easy however otherwise it might be a tough one. the courses are well structured espcially the social and basic psychology. and in some semesters, there will be a reading period where students are encourged to go and read in the Library.. The Curriculum served as a base for Internships and basic understanding but it is required to do masters to get a job in psychology filed

Now I am 2nd year psychology and we have lots of programs like college fest,arts festival, metal health day, women's day, onam celebration , christmas celebration , farewell, freshers party and union day , miss newman competition and verious debate competition, photography competition we more get more interesting in accademic excellence

I am pursuing bsc psychology, it is temporary dept ,so faculty in our dept are also temporary.during every six months sem exams are conducted.young and friendly faculty. Minimum pass mark for sem is 24 and also 2 internal exam for 1 sem are conducted.

Fee structure of the university are as follow Library fee sports fee tuition fee and others And if you have applied for hostel then you have hostel fee and have laboratory fee Library fee - 500 Tuition fee - 1000 Where is scholarship schemes are applicable in this university Centre Sector scheme Medhavi scheme and you also get amount that you pay for rent in private guest by for St category But on my pointer view whole things depends on you this is a Central University that provides access to Central schemes and other things but the central schemes and the things that provided by the University are not at the best level because of this you have to suffer with a quality of service in this university in every aspects

This university as a marking scheme that follows mid one mid 2 and and semester exam 20 and 20 and 60 marks are as follow if you ask me for teaching in the university teachers are in this university or not that bad but generally spend their most of time or non important things and you have to fight for your classes to be held Generally student in this university easily past their semester exam with 40 marks

The yearly wise tution fees 1500, the caution deposit fees rs 360,the registration fees is 1020 , the admission fee and other fees will be reduced for reservation like sc st candidates. For sc students,only registration fees is needed and scholarship like egrantz are available.

The internship available here for our course is the Trivandrum mental hospital. And also other projects and research oriented studies for farther higher studies.The facilities and opportunities provides a good experience

Most of my Faculty members are approachable and friendly.But some are a bit unapproachable. I like my class teacher sonia miss. she's a sweet soul who wants the best for all of her children and very approachable. The Faculty who im not very thrilled about is sulfi miss.She treats us like small children and is very strict like in a private school

There are various student-run social groups all around the college. There is queer community group run by the students.There is College union Headed by College Chairman(Student of our college). And NSS NCC units are also there. various sports teams are also available for students who are interested.

I choose psychology as i want to be their for everyone. I want to be a shoulder that they can lean on. I want to help others that i didn't get.psychology help us to make sense that every problem have two sides like a coin has two sides. When we stand in their positions we can understand why they act like that. And what caused them to act like that. The teachers are well organized and the classes are more interesting. We could never feel bored in those classes because every topic will make us curious. The exam are happening after only 3 months of classes. The semester should be 6 months but we only get classes for 3.months

The college faculties are mostly good. There is good relation between the faculties and the students. They can really rely on the faculties. In psychology department the teachers are mostly councilors. So students from other departments often come to psychology department for advices or anything. Every faculties even if they were teaching or non teaching staffs they were good with the students. There is no specific faculties that i don't like. And with the exams, the teachers will cover the portions. Not so many people fail in their exams. Only few of them.

There a very of fests and programs conducted in the college. The annual day will be around march. The psychology department conduct mental health weak which will be around October. The college union will conduct the union program generally after the election. There will be a magazine release. And every department will have a wide range of programs of their own. Apart from that onam, christmas, freshers and farewell is conducted both department wise and the whole college

The yearly fee was around 1200 for general category. The reservation category has less and some category does not have to pay.The caution deposit is 360 rupees. We have to pay exam fees which will be around 600 per semester. And during the admission process you'll have to give a donation to the pta committee. Otherwise there is no compulsory fees. There are several scholarships for students like egrants, nsp and many national scholarships

So we have to pay semester wise 3000 per semester which is of 4-6 months other fees includes registration fee which costs around 700-750 and exam fee. This has to be paid in every semester and library fee has to be paid in the last semester if u have issued books in ur course period. This fee structure is of a general category student for sc students TUTION FEE is as low as ?30 per semester. Financial aid is provided to students who live in pg or private hostels bcoz of unavailability in University hostel but this is only for reserved category students and not for ur

Faculty members are well experienced and highly qualified especially in forensic department. Faculty to student ratio is good as students can ask doubt to their professors as well as to the PhD scholars they help their juniors. Semester wise exams are taken each semester has 2 mid semester exams one is assignment and presentation based and the other is course based and 1 end semester exam which is taken at the end of the semester with the syllabus of whole semester. Exam level is not difficult if the student has studied for it

As i stated earlier every now and then there are activities going on the major is freshers and the fashion show they are the highlightes of this university which other universities are failing at it and the second thing is the fest which usually happens in February and goes on for like a week various concerts are held too

The curriculum has a very higher relevance with your studies and one's personality development one is able to achieve everything in every and it possibility which the university offers and it prepares you quite well for the real world applicability problems so you don't have to worry about anything

I am pursuing Bsc psychology from CMR university .For the first year i paid 115000 college fee, in july ill have to pay for the second year which is 117000 its the same for third and fourth year which will be the honors year, itll be my wish at the end of 3rd year weather i want to do the 4th honors course or not.

The course curriculum is precise and covers everything about the course. Teachers try to make the class very interactive so that students find it easier to learn and understand. One to one discussion between teachers and students is there to clear your doubts.

Psychology has been a great part of my life from +2 , i always would wonder how humans behave so differently so that automatically attracted me towards the course . This course is not only for studying but also for applying it in real life situations

Our campus has the best clean environment and greenery , there are different festivals going on like kalajoti which is a talent hunt and compitition which was held in the month of September and The sports day which was held in the month of January.

The course curriculum is relevant but, there is a lack of clinical or other exposures like camps or visits. However since this is a government college, a lot of holidays will be there, so the attendance is usually maintained. But even if notes are provided, people should also study by themselves.

The campus is very small, with two libraries and people can borrow books from both the libraries. There are seminar halls, two, one in each building, there is a different science building and arts building. A canteen is also there. Lots of washrooms and pad dispensing machines.

We have many clubs here in our college and i am a part of NSS and SIP club ( student initiative in paliative ) amal college allso provide many other camps and we psychology students have a club called spec which is mainly focused on mental health who ever is suffering or who ever needs a horigallu the club is ready to help overall the whole clubs are effective

i don't know much more about internship i am first year but i have seen my seniors are doing their internships in wayanad cochi kozhikode goa delhi dubai dammam qatar and many places we have a lather places though and our aluminies also helps us on our internsships

I didn’t get to know about the curriculum but my relative had suggested this course which influenced my decision to choose this. It doesn't prepare that much for real world applications but for further academic pursuits yes it does. The frequency of exams is ok according to the academic calendar and the timings also are ok. The difficulty level depends on the preparedness and the type of questions that is there

It was 12000 13000 16000 and there is no information on the admission fees, development fees and the other compulsory charges. Caution deposit was 1200, no information as per the category like management sc st. I don't have any idea about the fees for other categories. There were scholarships but there isn't any information on that

The which I have choose was recently added during that time so we had less opportunity for the placements but your college helped us in your internship for the psychology field. After finishing the internship and project. We did get offers for the company interview for the students

Each semester tuition fee is 25000 plus the exam fee that is 2000 and yearly you have to pay 50000. And registration fees is 1000. To book seat you have to pay advance about 10000 to 15000. So that they keep the seat allocate to you. And I'd card fees is 200.
