APECET 2019 Syllabus - Check Subject-wise Syllabus, Books

JNT University Anantapur conducts the AP Engineering Common Entrance Test for those candidates who wish to get lateral admission into 2nd year regular B.E., B.Tech and B.Pharmacy Courses. Candidates who are going to appear in this examination they can get their course wise syllabus for entrance exam by going through this page.

The syllabus of the AP ECET will contain the topics and subjects that one had studied in their qualifying examination. Paper will be prepared from subjects such as Mathematics, Chemistry & Physics. The question will also be prepared from the engineering branches, like Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics & Instrumentation, Electrical, Computer Science, etc. Students should study all the subjects included in these branches.

The question paper is published in English language only. The exam will be of Objective Type. The whole paper consists of 200 questions. 3 hours will be given to answer all the questions.

AP ECET Exam Pattern 2019

The exam would be of 200 marks with 200 objective type questions and the distribution of marks would be as per the examination pattern mentioned below:

  • Engineering Steam: Mathematics – 50 Marks (Common to all branches); Physics – 25 Marks (Common to all branches); Chemistry 25 Marks (Common to all branches); Engg (Civil /Electrical / Mechanical / Electronics & Communication/Computer/Chemical/Metallurgical/Mining/Electronics & Instrumentation / Ceramic Technology / Bio-Technology as the case may be) – 100 (Separate question paper for each branch of Engg); Total: 200 Marks.
  • Pharmacy Stream: Pharmaceutics – 50 Marks; Pharmaceutical Chemistry – 50 Marks; Pharmacognosy – 50 Marks; Pharmacology – 50 Marks; Total – 200 Marks.
  • B.Sc (Mathematics) Stream: Mathematics – 100 Marks; Analytical Ability – 50 Marks; Communicative English – 50 Marks; Total – 200 Marks.

The entrance test is of 3 hours duration and question paper compromises of a total of 200 questions as per the scheme of entrance. All questions are objective type (multiple choice only). Each question carries one mark.

The test timings are 10:00am to 1:00pm.

Qualifying Marks in AP ECET 2019

The minimum percentage for gaining a rank in AP ECET 2019 is 25 percent of the total marks in the four subjects (3 subjects for B.Sc Maths) i.e., 50 marks out of a total of 200; however in the case of SC/ST candidates there would be no minimum qualifying marks for ranking the candidates.

The rank gained with the benefit of relaxation of the minimum qualifying marks at the AP ECET 2019 [FDH & B.Sc (Mathematics)] by any candidate claiming to belong to ST/SC category would be cancelled in case the claim is found to be invalid at the time of admission.
