CEED 2019 ELIGIBILITY
NATIONAL LEVEL ONLINE/OFFLINE TEST
All the candidates applying for CEED 2019, must make sure that they fulfill the CEED Eligibility. Also, these criteria will be verified, along with all the mandatary documents and the CEED 2019 score, by the CEED Participating Colleges, when the candidates go for their admissions. There is no upper age limit to appear for CEED Exam. A candidate is also free to register and appear for CEED any number of times. A candidate, if found failing to satisfy even one of these criteria, will not be considered for admission and his application will be rejected.

CEED 2019 (Common Entrance Examination for Design) is a national level exam, conducted annually for admissions into the post graduate programmes of design at premier institutes of the country. CEED 2019 will be conducted by Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay (IITB). The CEED 2019 Score Card will be valid for a period of one year from the date of CEED Result declaration.
The candidates are required to satisfy the CEED 2019 Eligibility before beginning the CEED 2019 Registration. The candidates must note that the minimum age requirement to appear for CEED 2019 is 21 years. There is no upper age limit to apply for any programme through CEED 2019. The CEED 2019 Eligibility Criteria is given below:

Final year students about to graduate in any of the above courses are also eligible to apply provided they show proof of passing during admissions. The candidates who have cleared any 3 year programme in design are not eligible to apply for CEED 2019.

Different CEED 2019 Participating institutes have different eligibility criteria for admissions in the desired courses. The candidates must satisfy the Eligibility Criteria of CEED 2019 for different institutes to seek admissions in their desired institutes. The CEED Exam Eligibility for the various participating institutes is summarised in the table below:
IISc Bangalore | A recognized Bachelor’s degree in engineering / design / architecture. |
IIT Bombay | A minimum of 55% marks (50% in case of SC/ST) or equivalent grades in the qualifying examination as listed below- For Industrial Design Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Architecture / Design/ Interior Design, or equivalent Professional Diploma in Design (NID/CEPT, or equivalent). For Mobility and Vehicle design Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Architecture / Design/ Interior Design, or equivalent. Professional Diploma in Design (NID/CEPT, or equivalent). BF (4 year professional programme in Fine art/Commercial art after 10+2). For Visual Communication, Animation and Interaction Design Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Architecture / Design/ Interior Design, or equivalent. Professional Diploma in Design (NID/CEPT, or equivalent). B.F.A. (4 year professional programme, after 10+2). G.D. Art (5 year programme after 10th) with one year professional experience. Master’s degree in Arts / Science / Computer Applications. |
IIT Delhi | Only for graduates in Engineering and Architecture. Must have a valid CEED score; GATE score will not be considered. A minimum CGPA of 6.75 on a 10 point scale or 60% marks in aggregate (for General Category and OBC Non-Creamy Layer) For the SC/ST Category, this is relaxed by 5%. |
IIT Guwahati | 4-year Bachelors’ degree or equivalent in Design, Engineering, Architecture, Interior Design or a Design related field OR 4-year Professional Diploma in Design of NID or Professional Diploma of CEPT (5-year programme). A minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grades in the qualifying degree/diploma All candidates (except those having B.Tech/B.Des degrees from an IIT with a minimum CPI of 7.0) must possess a valid score of CEED. |

IIT Kanpur | A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Design or Architecture A valid CEED/GATE score are eligible to apply for the two-year Master of Design Programme. Candidates holding degrees in Fine Arts or Interior Design are NOT eligible to apply. |
There is a provision for reservation of certain number of seats for candidates belonging to various reserved categories. The category rank for CEED 2019 will be prepared based on the category provided by the candidate in the CEED 2019 Application form.
No opportunity will be given to the candidate for late submission under any circumstances. Hence, candidates are advised to submit all necessary documents on time.

I have done bsc biotech (3 yrs) & 1 year foundation in fine arts, can i apply for ceed-2018?
Hi Garima, The candidate must have pursued a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Architecture/Design/Interior Design or any equivalent 4 years programme after 10 2. or as above mentioned the Eligibility of CEED Exam.
I have 3 years Diploma and 3 Year Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, am I eligible for CEED 2017 ?
