What is TANCET 2026?

TANCET 2026 Eligibility Criteria

TANCET 2026 has separate eligibility conditions for each course. All candidates must hold a relevant degree from a recognized university. Candidates in the final year of their qualifying exam can apply on a provisional basis.

MBA Eligibility

You must have a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university. General category candidates need at least 50% marks in graduation. Candidates from BC, MBC, OBC, SC, SCA, or ST categories need at least 45%. There is no age limit for TANCET MBA 2026.

MCA Eligibility

You must have a Bachelor’s degree — such as B.Sc (Computer Science or IT), BCA, B.Tech, or any recognized undergraduate degree — with at least 50% marks (45% for reserved categories). If your undergraduate degree is not in a Computer Science or IT field, you must have studied Mathematics either at the Class 12 level or during your undergraduate program.

ME / M.Tech / M.Arch / M.Plan Eligibility

You need a B.E./B.Tech degree in a relevant engineering or technology discipline with at least 50% marks for general category (45% for reserved). For M.Arch, a B.Arch degree is required. For M.Plan, a degree in planning or a relevant allied field is needed. There is no age limit for these programs.

TANCET 2026 Application Process

• Step 1 – New Registration: Candidates created a new account at tancet.annauniv.edu using a valid email ID and mobile number.
• Step 2 – Fill the Application Form: After logging in, candidates filled in personal, academic, and contact details. They also selected the test(s) — MBA, MCA, or ME/M.Tech (with the relevant engineering discipline). A candidate could register for more than one test in the same cycle.
• Step 3 – Upload Documents: Scanned copies of the photograph and signature had to be uploaded in the specified format and file size.
• Step 4 – Pay the Application Fee: The fee was paid online through net banking, debit card, or credit card. The application fee for general category candidates was approximately ₹675, and for SC/SCA/ST candidates it was approximately ₹475.
• Step 5 – Submit and Save Confirmation: After payment, the application was submitted and a confirmation page was generated. Candidates were advised to keep this for future reference during counselling and admissions.
