AIIMS Delhi and Munich University Sign MoU for Research in Medicine, Life Sciences; Check Details Here

New Delhi: All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS) New Delhi signs a non-binding agreement with Klinikum der Universität München (LMU Klinikum) Munich to explore new and improvised collaborations in medicine and life sciences.

As per AIIMS, this agreement aims to set a framework for future cooperative activities to enhance research, education, and innovation in the medical and healthcare fields. LMU Klinikum and AIIMS New Delhi have collaborated with the shared goal of fostering academic and scientific exchanges. 

The institute’s statement further stated that LMU Klinikum and AIIMS New Delhi are renowned for their contributions to healthcare and medical research, and this MoU marks the beginning of a promising collaboration.

LMU Klinikum and AIIMS will explore various areas of collaboration, like educational exchanges involving students and faculty in the fields of medicine and life sciences, digital medicine, joint research initiatives, and the possibility of conducting multi-centre clinical trials and harnessing artificial intelligence for medical advancements. 

With a separate written agreement, specific research collaborations will be formalised. This MoU allows for open and constructive discussions for advancement research, teaching-learning, and any advancements in the healthcare domain. 

Dr. Rima Dada, Professor in charge of AIIMS' Media Cell, states that "In signing this MoU, LMU Klinikum and AIIMS affirm their dedication to advancing medical knowledge, patient care and healthcare innovation through international collaboration. "This agreement lays the foundation for future initiatives that will benefit both institutions and contribute to the global healthcare community”, he added.
