COMEDK Counselling 2026 Round 1 Choice Edit Window Extended to July 24 at comedk.org; Check Steps to Lock Choices

The Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK) has extended the Round 1 choice filling and edit window for the Undergraduate Entrance Test (UGET) 2026 counselling. Candidates can now fill, reorder, or edit their choices on the official portal at comedk.org until July 24, 2026, 2 PM.

The earlier deadline was July 16, 2026. COMEDK issued the extension after receiving a large number of candidate requests following the mock seat allotment result. The mock cut-off ranks and final seat availability documents were published on July 14, 2026.

Who Is Affected by the Extension?

The extension applies to all registered COMEDK UGET 2026 candidates participating in Round 1 counselling for BTech admissions. It benefits students who need more time to review the mock allotment outcome and those who could not finalise their preferences during the original window.

Candidates who leave a blank choice form after the window closes will be excluded from further counselling rounds. Locking at least one valid choice is mandatory to remain eligible for the seat allotment process.

How to Edit Choices on the COMEDK Portal?

Registered candidates can log in to their COMEDK counselling account and revise their preference list. The system allows candidates to reorder, add, or delete choices until July 24, 2026, at 2 PM sharp.

• Visit the official portal at comedk.org.
• Click on the UGET 2026 counselling login link.
• Enter the User ID and password to access the dashboard.
• Open the choice filling section and review the existing preferences.
• Add, remove, or reorder college and course choices as required.
• Save the changes and lock the final choice list before the deadline.

Why Was the Deadline Extended?

Round 1 choice filling opened after the mock seat allotment result on July 14, 2026. Many candidates reported needing more time to compare their mock allotment results with fresh college and course combinations.
