They also have the option to choose questions they would like to attempt first.

    1.  Answer swapping:

    This feature is the coolest one as candidate can change the answers, even if he has attempted it before. Due to this feature many test takers has changed answers from wrong to right, that further boosted their GRE scores.

    GRE Eligibility Criteria

    ETS (Educational Testing Service) which is the exam conducting authority for GRE has not specifically mentioned any particular eligibility criteria for the candidates to appear in the test. However, the candidates are supposed to go through the prescribed eligibility criteria of individual institutes/fellowship sponsors where they wish to apply. It is mandatory that the candidate must have passed the graduation as the GRE is an admission test for postgraduate courses in various graduate schools and business schools around the world, or an aspirant should be studying in the final year of graduation for entry into Master’s (M.B.A) or Phd courses in USA or other countries around the world.

    There is no set age bar for appearing in the GRE Test.

    Please Note: There is a specific eligibility criteria, if a candidate is suffering from any physical disability or if the candidates wants to apply under the GRE® Fee Reduction Program (applicable only for US Citizens or resident aliens who are college seniors or an unenrolled college graduates in various graduate schools/institutes/Universities of US, American Samoa, Guam, U.S. Virgin Islands or Puerto Rico).

    GRE Exam Pattern

    GRE Test generally constitutes of three sections, namely Verbal Reasoning, Quantitative Reasoning and Analytical Writing. There are two modes in which a candidate can attempt GRE test:

    • Computer Delivered Test

    • Paper Delivered Test

    The Paper delivered test is offered only at regions where the possibility of delivering a computer delivered test is not there. While the Computer Delivered Test is available throughout the year, the Paper Based test is only conducted for 3 months in a year. There is one more GRE Subject Test, which is also offered for candidates planning to take subject specialization test. The GRE® Subject Tests are offered in a Paper Delivered Mode. The total duration of the exam 2 hours and 50 minutes. There are no specific timed sections. The subjects for which the GRE Subject Tests are mentioned below:

    • Biochemistry, Cell and Molecular Biology
    • Biology
    • Chemistry
    • Literature in English
    • Mathematics
    • Physics
    • Psychology
