IIM SIRMAUR- THE HIMALAYAN IIM

It is a new IIM but with a very good growth rate. Placements of our college is increasing year by year as well as there had a trend of getting more companies than previous year for the final placements as well as for summer internship.

The course curriculum is well specified and precised to the aspects of MBA. Exam structure is not just for the evaluation purpose and giving marks. Exams also helps in learning a lot of things about the concepts.

For the summer and final placements we have placement committee in our campus which is very hard working and had developed a lot of corporate relations with companies which help the institute during placements. Yes our college provides summer internship as well as final internship.

The main fest of the college is Sierra in which from academic events to cultural events ( dancing, singing, performing acts, performance of bands) take place. It is celebrated every year and people from almost 30-40 colleges take part in this fest.

The fee structure as compared to other MBA colleges is far better. The program fee apart from fee for International Immersion Program is around 10 lakhs. Also International Immersion Program is optional and depends upon you whether you want to go or not. The fee for IIP is around 4 lakhs.

On the very first day you can find people from SBI, UNION BANK, IDBI BANK to provide loan for the two year program. They provide loan at a reasonable rate and there services are user friendly. As well the institute itself has a policy of giving scholarship to a few students with a good academic record.

We have a cultural club which is responsible for organizing cultural events as well as 7-8 clubs related to specific domains of MBA like operations, marketing, finance, strategy, entrepreneurship,HR etc which kept on organizing events related to these domains.

It is a growing institute and hostel facilities are decent. All the rooms are new with proper attached washroom.Room has sufficient space for two people to live. Water facilities, gym, indoor games rooms etc, everything is available in campus.

Though the no of alumni are not much. As of now almost 130 students have been graduated from our college. But we have an alumni cell and we are in great touch with them. Most of the companies in which they are working visit our campus for the placements. They had been very helpful in building corporate relations of the institute.

I had appeared for CAT and then got selected for interview process and got selected. There is a cut off for each round to get admission in the college. The CAT cutoff for general category is around 96 percentile. Interviewers judge the candidates based on certain parameters and give marks.

All the faculties have pursued their graduation, post graduation and PhD from well known IITS, IIMS and foreign universities. They have a great work experience record in reputed organizations which helps the young minds a lot during there course and projects. They help in bringing companies for summer placement and final placements also.
