Remarks
If you want to complete your btech in budget just go for this college. It has all facilities. There are 4 hostels. Alumni here are best. U will also get to explore your self here as different clubs are there. Like kasar, Entrepreneur development cell, sports club etc.
Course Curriculum Overview
The board under which this college fall is Makaut. And now it has reduced the course for 1st sem students. Earlier we have to study 6 papers but now only 3 papers are there in 1st sem. And focus on extra curriculum activities have been increased. Now in every semester student has to score some points called MAR which is added and the student has to score 100 points upto 8th sem then only he/she will get the btech degree from the board. There are 2 internals exam in one semester and small monthly tests taken by subject teacher.
Placement Experience
Our college provides many job opportunities. Like in our batch of 130 120 got placed. Some got in tcs some in persistent, Teksystem and many well recognised companies.Before placement many sessions were given to us so that we get prepared for the placements. No they don't provide internship but yes there will be workshop of 20 days on emerging technologies like cloud, hadoop etc.
College Events
Interaction day with freshers Freshers party Teachers day Saraswati puja Cultural and technical fest Farewell party. U gonna really enjoy these events. During cultural fest different events are organised like roadies, kbc, and and night there is band performance and dj.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is average. I completed my btech in just 4 lac. So it will not affect your parents pocket much. And also there are many scholarships. So you can also avail them.in my time it was 38k per semester.
Fees and Financial Aid
If you are a resident of west bengal then u will surely get the scholarship. But i haven't opted for scholarship. So its better to get in touch with the college authorities. They are planning for loan facilities but I'm not sure.
Campus Life
As i have mentioned earlier. If you are a sports person just go for it. Because you will get many opportunities to play for inter college events. In fest dance competition and singing competition are organised. Best place for your skill development.
Hostel Facilities
This was the heaven of my college life. The hostel is spacious and airy. Rooms are spacious for 2 people. 24 hours electricity and water is available. 24 hours medical facilities. But in food you will have to compromise. Besides that everything is good. There will different events in hostel like freshers party, sports, diwali party and farewell party. U really gonna enjoy it.
Alumni/Alumna
Alumni here is very helpful. They are very friendly. Seniors here will tease you a little bit in starting. Like they will ask your name etc. But after freshers they will be like your friends. Any help you need just go ask them. They will guide you properly and will also provide you notes.
Admission
I got in my college through west bengal joint entrance exam. After declaration of college i went for counselling and booked my seat for computer science and engineering in this college. During admission different documents like 12th marksheet and transfer certificate were required. After that fee payment was made through demand draft. Then document verification was done by the present faculties.
Faculty
The faculty in our college are good or i can say average. Some faculty are the bestest. But if you are a computer science student then you will have to manage at some extent. U will have to work on yourself as they will only guide you. No doubt they are very much helpful. Whatever is your problem just ask them for help they will surely help you.
