SRM at a glance

I don't have a negative remark about my college. You will not have any worry about a thing. They have counselors for moral and emotional support. They will prepare you for placements from 1st year it self. You will be mold in such a way that you will stand different from the rest of the crowd.

Course curriculum for SRM is now currently credit based. You have to obtain certain credits to compete your btech. Credits can be earned by clearing the exams. We have 4 exams ct1,ct2, modals and finals. For practical we have 2 exams only that is modals and finals. Paper pattern is fixed. Only the questions are different.

Placement opportunity at SRM are pretty nice. Many top MNC comes for the placement in this college. Companies like Cognizant, TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Amazon, ZS, Siemens, etc and many more are here for the placements. College provides internship opportunity for the deserving students also. Although I never applied through campus. But some of my friends applied. The stipend is upto 25000 Rs. The experience is very good and they got to learn so many things. This internship may lead upto PPO with a nice package.

We have two national level fests. One is Aaruush and other one is Milan. Aaruush is techno management fest where as Milan is cultural fest. Students from different colleges all over India gets to take part in the events organized by these fests. They invite some famous people for the gala night and funds are raised for many NGO.

Fee structure depends upon the courses which you have chosen. For CSE and aerospace the fee is quite high. But for all the other courses fee is quite feasible being a private college. This fee includes tution fee, hostel fee, mess fee and an optional transport fee. Fee can be reduced on the basis of certain scholarships which provided on the basis of your performance in enterance exam, your 12th score, your performance in the college exams and many more.

Scholarships our available on the basis of your performance in enterance exam. Also your percentage in your 12th board exams. Also their are certain scholarships for particular group of students. Also on the basis of your performance in University exam you can avail scholarships.

You many clubs and groups in the college. You certain labs for your courses and some more labs for your extra curriculars. You have clubs in your department which will deal with technical as well as cultural events in your departments. You also have clubs for cultural events under a student body names DSA.

We have good number of hostel for boys and girls both. We have a separate NRI hostel for NRI students. These hostels have a facility of ac and non AC both with attached and separate bathrooms. We have separate mess for South Indian food and north Indian food. You will get 4 times food in these mess.

You have alumni connect Evey year in the college premises. In these connects you can get in touch with the alumni for internships in their companies and many more. You can have interaction with the seniors during your hostel times or in clubs or through social media.

SRM has its own enterance exam SRMJEEE. This exam is in two modes off-line as well as online. This exam contains negative marking also. The syllabus for this exam is totally your class 12 syllabus. After exams when you get the results you will get a date for counseling according to your ranking. In counseling session you will get to know about college campus, hostel and many more things.

Faculty of SRM is very good. Almost all the faculties have Ph.D in their respective area. They have sufficient knowledge to answer any curiosity of a student. They are very easily accessible. You can approach your professors with any doubt. They will clear your doubt.
