Remarks

While there is a lot of academic opportunity here, there is no life beyond that. The campus is 25km away from the city and is situated on the highway. Hence, there is a lack of recreational activities here. To watch a movie, you have to travel for a minimum of 45mins to reach the nearest cinema hall. There are numerous food joints in and around the campus, but none with a proper dine-in facility. There are no party places here whatsoever.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

In my opinion, the course curriculum is decent. We have a set of cycle tests everything month, for a regular performance check. Our internal marks are based on these tests, besides a few assignments and surprise tests. This accounts for 50% of the grade. The other 50% is awarded via external(or university) examinations.

Placement Experience

4

The recent placements have been pretty decent. Numerous core companies come here for recruitment as well, other than the well renowned IT companies, like Wipro, TCS. The average salary might range somewhere around 4-6LPA.

College Events

2.5

The 2 major events at our campus are Aaruush and Milan. Both are a 4-5 day fest. Aaruush is a national level Techno fest, while Milan is cultural fest. Besides these, there are numerous small events and fests held round the year.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure here is just like any other private college. The courses range between 2.5lacs to 3.75 lacs. Also, you could a get an instant 1 lac scholarship based on your stream if your is within a certain number.

Fees and Financial Aid

College offers a 1lac relaxation on tuition fees based on your rank and stream. Besides this, there are various types of scholarship the college offers based on your entrance exam rank, financial conditions or SGPA.

Campus Life

4

There are plenty in-house sports options to choose from. As for the labs, the equipments are state-of-the-art technology. The lab assistants are well aware of their domain. One has numerous options for extracurricular activities as SRM houses the most number of student clubs in any university across India. There is a club for every domain and it is also extremely easy to start one by yourself, with some funding from the college.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

The hostel facilities are a little overcharged. The rooms are not very great. The mess food is one pain for all the students. With absurd rules and lack of proper internet, people prefer staying outside the campus.

Alumni/Alumna

One can reach out to the seniors here anytime they want to. They are extremely helpful and polite. Also, the campus is Anti-Ragging or ragging free and hence life is easy here, unless someone purposely tries to instigate a fight. A word of advice, do not mess with the localites.

Admission

Admission process starts with an entrance exam called the SRMEEE, which is held almost a month or two after boards. According to your rank in the exam, the college gives you an option to choose from 3 streams which are asked from you beforehand (i.e. during the enrollment for the exam).

Faculty

3.5

Faculty at SRM could be anything between amazing to rude. While some professors genuinely care for each student, some are extremely rude at your face. Also, being a north Indian, one could face a little discrimination here.

About 70 percentage of the students got placements successfully. I am planning to pursue a master degree abroad

Placement Experience:

From the very entry into your third year, you will be eligible to most of the placements. The training provided is very exquisite and some of the trainings start as early as 1st year. 2026 highest package was 55LPA. Many companies like from product companies like Microsoft, Capgemini to service based companies like TCS, INFOSYS etc.. visit our campus for regular placements. About 98% of people placed as far as I have heard.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is fairly relevant and comprehensive, covering both theoretical concepts and practical applications. It provides a good foundation for technical knowledge, but including more industry-oriented projects, hands-on training, and updated technologies would make it even better for future career opportunities.
