Days at Amity

Overall as a college, Amity University is a good choice that one can make in terms of study opportunities and to have fun with friends here at the campus. College management is good but there are loop holes in it that has to be made better for the student

I took the AIEEE entrance exam and I had scored within 2 lakh all India ranking. After the online counseling which had taken place after a few months results being declared, I had chosen some few colleges including some government colleges and I had filled out private colleges afterwards.I had mentioned Amity University after the other government colleges because I preferred to study in government college over private college due to the difference in fees they generally take from the students.I opted for Amity University since I had heard a lot about it and after asking and consulting from my elder siblings, they had said that its' a college college about Amity University.

Amity doesn't arrange any internships for students but if the student is one among the lot that is he/she is outstanding among the class or batch then the college arranges something similar from the long list of companies that Amity University has tie-ups with. The internship which is so arranged in the company is from the top and popular ones in the market which gives the student exposure to the market industry as well as enough opportunities for polishing his/her skills and overall development as an individual's personality. Stipend if offered generally ranges from 20,000 to 25,000 Rupees for an engineer as a fresher. No stipend offered internships could also be taken from the university as per choice of the student.

Amity University offers 100% placement for its students studying here. All in total 250+ companies have tie-ups with the university so the student gets a huge choice to be made from. The packages which are offered to the students are on an average of 3.25 lakhs per annum, which was for the year 2015. The placement drive happens throughout the year. The companies which do come here in Amity University for placement also includes mass recruiters such as HCL, Wipro. Other core companies include Genpact, Honda, Yamaha, Hyundai, Ford and many other companies. The best placement are offered in the management stream of the university.

The two main events celebrated in Amity University are: Sangathan & Amity Youth Fest.Sangathan is the annual sports meet of the Amity Universe which is celebrated on the occasion of Founders Day to promote sportsmanship and victory. Sangathan generally is celebrated around 25th of October every year during the odd semester of the year.Amity Youth Fest on the hand is celebrated in the month of February and it is organised by the students and for the students. During the fest famous celebrities give their visits to the University since its the best time to promote their movies and endorsements. Sponsorship during this event is also seen very fondly to come up among other activities also. Students also have a great time of fun between various cultural events and Dj Nights are held every day or to say every night on the other hand.

For the course that I am currently undergoing the fee structure is around Rs. 1,00,000 per semester so that makes Rs. 2,00,000 per year approx. for academics. Hostel fees on the other hand is Rs.75,000 for Non-AC and Rs.1,40,000 for AC hostel. If anyone compares the fee structure of the courses offered in Amity University to that offered in any other Government Institutes it is relatively high but in my opinion the infrastructure and the opportunities available here make up for that and it depends on the student that how he/she uses the opportunities and the chances available to grow his/her self after using the opportunities for developing oneself.

I myself have not taken any type of loan for completion of my graduation here at Amity University. Though scholarships are offered to the meritorious students for their outstanding academic performances. According to the percentile of the students that they have received scholarships are awarded such as for above 90% students they receive a full 100% scholarship from the university for their academics. And from each batch from each stream the meritorious students are chosen for this.And if any student performs or has a great achievement towards the university, then he/she is awarded accordingly on the behalf of the university.

If anyone compares the campus life of Amity University to other colleges' one I would prefer life at Amity campus. The campus is so filled with the positive vibe of students. The campus consists of every facility that a student looks for may it be sports ground for various sports such as basketball, football, cricket, tennis, squash, shooting, horse riding, swimming, volleyball and other similar sports. Gym and indoor games such as snooker, billiards and bowling are also now opened for the students which gives the students an advantage of not going out of the campus for such similar activities. Labs of various streams are also present with necessary equipment and facilities. Competitions are held year around for various activities and passion for the students such as dancing, overhauling', quizzes, robotics and other similar activities. Such competitions and activities give students here in Amity opportunities for growth of skills and talents.

Students taking AC hostel are give separate rooms with an almirah, studying table with a chair and a bed. For Non AC hostel the same things are given but instead of separate rooms to the students they are given 3 sharing, 2 sharing or even single rooms ac

The alumni network at Amity University is vast ranging from professors to faculties to students forming a large network of people to interact with for any queries or any type of information one needs. Students can also meet and ask the senior students about their any dough ts or queries that one have regarding their subjects or curriculum. The seniors are very helpful and their is no tolerance for ragging which is a plus point for the freshers joining here. There is also an anti-ragging cell here in Amity University if any fresher student needs any type of aid and security marshals are present in the campus throughout the day.

Exams are held at the end of every semester besides the internal exams were are frequently held so that the students are in touch of their respective subjects and skills. For the semester exams enough breaks or holidays are given so that the students are
