Knowing about Jadavpur university

Talking about positive remark the placement cell is quite nice, every department have their own placement coordinators who ensures coming of companies. Talking about negative remark the campus and infrastructure is not too good , it can be said average. The hostel mess facility is bit poor.

Course curriculum is pretty well. Infact last year the course has been made more better and in organized way keeping internships preparation in mind. Some of the subject which were supposed to be taught in 3rd year had been shifted to 2nd year so that they can be well prepared and get enough time for the preparation of internships.

Placements and job opportunities ka very up to the mark here. Large number of IT companies visit every year recruiting many students. And If you are not from CSE or IT dept. , you can learn coding from yourself and seat for the placements, it's a advantage. For other dept. like mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, chemical, civil many core companies come to recruit throughout the year. College doesn't provide internships but it calls renowned companies like samsung, Amazon, Microsoft, texas instruments, synopsis, reliance and many more for internships. Every company have their own stipend.

Many events are celebrated in my college. First of all freshers nights U-turn and CIIPPUS are celebrated where freshers do their performance like dance , drama , music etc. At day time there are many competitions organized for the freshers. Then there comes the tech fest SRIJAN , where students show their talent in robotics, machines etc. Then there comes the cultural fest SANSKRITI , in there different bands perform and also the students.

The fee structure is very feasible. For the 4 years B.E. course we are supposed to pay 10,710 INR which is really feasible. Apart from this we just have to pay for the semester exams i.e. 84 INR per semester. But for the IT dept. the fees is approx 30000 for 4 years and ya this is also very affordable.

There is no such good scholarship offered by my college. Many students have got scholarship due to low income but that are not provided by the college, they get it from different other organizations. There is no loan policy in my college as far as known to me.

There are many labs, workshops for every department. Some of the labs are listed in our course curriculum and some are made for research purposes for m.tech and pHd. Students. Regarding sports there is basketball court , a football ground , badminton court , sports room to play chess , table tennis , carrom and other indoor games.

We are having great alumni networks working at high post in big MNCs and PSUs. Anupam roy(singer) , ritabhari charkraborty(actress) etc. are alumni of our college. Yes the senior students are very helpful, they guide us very well regarding internships , jobs , semester preparations and many more.

I appeared for WB-JEE entrance exam in year 2017 , in which I got AIR (general) 711. Then I registered in wbjee portal and after some days there was choice filling for WB colleges and different branches in priority wise. Then counseling started , according to your rank seat will be allotted to you and you have visit any one of the visiting centre to confirm the seat. You may apply for updragation in next counseling. Basically there are 3 counselling rounds. After counselling is over visit the allotted college for admission.

Regarding the faculty we have highly educated professors studied from IITs, IISC and Jadavpur university itself. But the teaching here is above average , I can't say it best. Ya most teachers ka fabulous in their profession but some of them lack teaching inspite of knowledge.
