Remarks
College infrastructure is very good. Faculty is excellent. Canteen need to be modified. No hostel facilities are available. It's a girls' college, which is famous for its amiability and amity. We promote anti-ragging ideas and make sure that no student is harassed by anyone in any way. Our Student Union is always there for the students, do are our professors. There is no reason to fear here, except the possibility of getting caught while bunking classes.
Course Curriculum Overview
Teachers are very helpful. You will get to learn lot of things. Exams are taken by following the rule of semester. One thing I can assure that this college is best to build your career. Faculty is excellent and they take so much care of the students.
Placement Experience
Our college has a responsive placement cell. Our placement cell invites big companies like TCS and Cognizant every year for campus recruitment drives. In fact I'm doing job in TCS. From my batch 4 students got job in TCS and we all are working here. Placement is wonderful here.
College Events
Our college student union proudly organises the Annual Inter-college College Fest, Aalap, every year in December. Along with it is organised the Intra-College competitions during August, which is indeed a time of fun and frolic for us students. We also celebrate the death anniversary of our founder John Eliot Drinkwater Bethune as Bethune Day in August, encouraging Van Mahotsav as well. Then, we organise the Sports Day every year, followed by the Alumni Meet or Sammilani, Republic Day and Independence Day.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee structure is very much feasible.1400 per 6 months. At the time of admission, an amount if less than Rs 1500 is paid, which is not at all expensive. Hence, I don't think the college fees would be an issue. Again, there are various scholarships provided by the college for the students.
Fees and Financial Aid
Yes. Our college provides scholarships for students coming from economically-challenged families. There are provisions for Half-free and Free scholarships too.Students will get every kind if help to give their fees.So it won't be an issue.
Campus Life
Lab is really good. All necessary equipments are present. In fact lab facility is the best in our college. Sports is not held in our college. But on the day of fest or any other events students perform on stage (singing, dancing etc).
Hostel Facilities
There are no hostel facilities as of now. But, there are many PGs and Hostels situated close to the college campus, right at the heart of North Kolkata. These PGs and Hostels are cheap, provide comfortable accommodation and good food, according to some of my classmates who themselves stay at PGs and Hostels.
Alumni/Alumna
Our Student Union is very helpful and friendly. Our alumni network too is very strong. They still share a strong bond with the college and that makes us really proud. They are always there for any situation. On special occasion they always join us which is really good.
Admission
Online forms are available after result of 12th is published.Students got selected on the basis of their result. They take students through counselling. Admission procedure is very easy. All the best.
Faculty
Our professors are dedicated towards academics. They always endeavour at creating a comfortable atmosphere for the students to learn new things, and to bloom themselves. The teachers are extremely hardworking and are approachable; in fact, our professors are quite friendly.
