A very good Institution with many knowledgeable professors and well-equipped laboratories.

Course Curriculum Overview

We were asked to make real-life products as a working model by using waste products or cheaper materials named as Make A Product(MAP) during our 2nd year. This project was very good for learning for everyone. Industry specialised persons will provide guest lectures and even take 3 to 4 days session about a technical topic. Because of these sessions, I got a placement through Campus Interview.

Placement Experience

QuEST Global, Tech Mahindra, iNautix, CTS, TCS, Harita Tech Serv, Steps were written test, Group Discussion, Tech Interview and HR interview. Percentage around 80 to 85. The institution provided us with many placement related classes tests and mock interviews.

College Events

Every Technical symposium used to held which has paper and poster presentations on certain topics, Management related quiz, Robotics related competitions, SAE events. Cultural events like Annual day and sports day events used to hold every year. Dept related tech events used to happen.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Program fee exactly not sure but around 4 to 5lakhs which was made by Anna University, Chennai. Mode of payment accepted Bank loans also. No additional charges. College provides transparency in the fee break-down by providing the breakup cost in the bill.

Fees and Financial Aid

College provided a scholarship for students who joined with high cut off marks. They joined in merit also provided scholarships for them.

Campus Life

Gender ratios ok. Labs, sports and competitions were good. No sexual orientation, ethnicity, race or religion. Cultural events like Annual day and sports day events used to happen yearly once. Apart from that dept level tech events will be held. Workshops will be conducted by Industry specialised people.

Alumni/Alumna

We interact with our seniors through alumni meet. Also, we discuss with the director regarding job offers and also for guidance related to specific work.

Admission

Since Mechanical Engg. has more govt job vacancies for girls and it is one the mainstream in engg. This Institution was started by well knowledgeable and experienced Professors. So the quality of education will be good. And so selected this college. Admission was done through Anna University counselling.

Faculty

No. Of lecturers were around 20. Average age around 28 and the minimum qualification was ME and we had many PhD doctorates. Professors give real-time examples and show us many tech videos for better understanding. Some lecturers had Industry experience as a background.

Overall Good Experience at EEC

Likes

good infrastructure, clean campus and well equipped classrooms and labs.
Faculty members are supportive and explain concepts clearly with practical examples.
Good placement opportunities, career guidance and opportunities to participate in activities.

Dislikes

The workload can be huge sometimes, especially during examinations and project submissions.
some subjects could include more practical and industry-oriented learning
More campus activities and student interactions opportunities would improve campus life.

Placement Experience:

Students can join job drives from the 7th term. Many firms visit the campus for jobs and offer roles in tech and other fields. The pay varies by firm and role. EEC has a good job rate and gives help for job prep. After my degree, I plan to work in the tech field and grow my skills.

An average of more than 90% of rhe students were placed during my term. Companies like amazon, juspay, adobe, hcl, cts, tcs, adp etc came and there are 500 companies that visisted our campus during my batch

Sathyabama is value for money

Likes

the classrooms in specialization are air conditioned
faculty is supportive for academic growth

Dislikes

the attendance is strict at 75% and subject attendances upto 80%
you cannot exit campus before 3.15 pm under any circumstances

Placement Experience:

The placements are very decent and they provide internships as early career opportunities as well in 3rd year of studies and the college possess high conversion rates through these internships which support the resume with actual corporate exposure

This is the best college overall

Likes

The curriculum provided is really nice and understandable.
It is relevant and is effective as well.
The boy girl ratio is on the other hand a little less as in 45:15.

Dislikes

The way some facilities behave with students is really bad especially in our branch.
Some facilities are too rude and they often don’t want to listen to students point of view

Placement Experience:

Students are open to campus placements from 2nd year onwards. There are many companies who visit such as Delloite, Accenture, Cognizant, TCS, Amazon, NatWest, Nokia, etc. Highest package offered is 42 lpa and lowest is maybe 2-4lpa. Around 90% of students get placed here. My plans is to get a job through campus recruitment. Currently I got an internship through campus recruitment in Cognizant so the recruitment is quite nice here.

At 8th semester the students can become eligible for campus placement and the companies visited more oftens are win etc the highest packages about 25 LP and average packers about 2.5 lpa percentage of students getting placement is above 80 percentage.

High fees the government college but charging high fees making it difficult for students from lower income background to access quality education

Likes

The thing I most liked is the campus the infrastructue
There are a many clubs so it's exciting for people who like other things then studies
The opportunities as well the alumini network

Dislikes

The campus is very crowded there are many people compared to other colleges
The category wise fee structure and the increasing fees
Charges for hostel are little more then others

Placement Experience:

As of my information the placements are pretty decent..first the placements used to take place in Vellore campus but I guess jow they have started here as well ..as of my opinion the placement stars from the 7th semester
