Remarks

Eveything is good apart from the high fees structure. Specially for B.Tech. it is not worth. I mean you spend around 12 lacs to get a job of 3LPA. MBA is ok in terms of fee structure. Generally speaking, fee structure is high for all departments.

Entrance Preview

Amity conducts its own entrance exam. Score was not revealed to me. I choose Amity after visiting the campus and going through placement records.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

It was extensive!! Apart from usual Engineering subjects, we had foreign language, Business Communication and one more subject related to Psychology mandatory for all 8 sems which was frustrating then, but really gave me an edge in my professional career.

Internships Opportunities

None of the companies offered internship back then. The scenario may be better now as 2009 was a bad phase for placements. Pleacements were around 60% (actual figure).

Placement Experience

4

There were several companies and although, they show a figure of 100% placements, actual placement figure was around 60%. But again, considering the bad phase of 2009, 60% is good.Accenture, HCL, Caritore, Satyam, Grapecity, R Systems were some of the companies visited the campus (around 10 IT and 3 core eletronics in total). Package was between 3-4 LPA. There wasonly one company which offered around 5LPA (forgot the name).

College Events

5

Amity celebrates almost every big festival like Diwali, Holi, Lohri etc. Good thing is, every depatment celebrates it's own tect/management/ cultural fest, hence, in an entire year, there will be around 10-15 fests along with festival celebrations. Biggest fests are conducted by Engg and MAnagement departments.

Fee Structure And Facilities

That's the only negative point about Amity. Fee structure is too expensive specially now. Hostels are expensive as well and overall, I think a student will spend around 12 Lacs for B.Tech. which is not a good idea.

Fees and Financial Aid

Loan available from all the banks. There are multiple scholarship programs but fees is already too high, not sure how much scholarship can help.

Campus Life

3.5

Life at Amity is good. Gender ration depends on department but overall for entire university, I can say it's 50:50. No issues regarding religion and status. Although you can feel a bit lost if you are from middle class family as most of the kind are from rich families.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

Both are fantastic, but expensive. Both, single and double (AC and Non AC) rooms are available, but are pretty expensive. A better idea is to rent out a flat and share with friend around sector 37 or 18 in Noida.Food is good and there were 3 mess that tim

Alumni/Alumna

We have a pretty strong network and we meet frequently. Amitians are very successful in and outside India, specially the Management alumni as engg started in 2007 I guess.

Exam Structure

Generally, Engg and Management cources at Amity are hectic. With 75% attendance mandatory (and it really is mandatory), exams and labs kind of tire you. But then, the life at Amity is amazing specially if you are a hostler. It kinda balance your academics

Faculty

4

Most of the faculty were good. Off course, there will always be bad teachers, I mean one with qualification but not experience, but overall, quality was awesome. At least on the educational qualification of each and every faculty was at par.

Students typically become eligibilty for campus works to bring companies and prepare students through training sessions, mock interviews, and aptitude classes.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum for tech branches still need to be improved as many important courses are not taught due to lack of faculties. The college still lacks necessary required labs for many branches which can give students hands on experience and make them industry ready. The exam occours timely as mentioned in academic calendar and are moderately difficult.

From 5th semester students become eligible for campus placements. There are various companies which visit the college for Ex: Infosys, TATA, Wipro , Josh technologies , Ambrane and many other small companies.
