Course biased by teacher. As the teacher are recruited by govt. And we are self finance so they doesn't help to student. They bias between mcom and MBA(FM). So I will say stay connected with alumni personally If you are joining.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course of study is very good. Dept having average infrastructure. But if you see cousre fee, its Worthy. And the most important thing is that different seminar in national and international level have to organize by dept and manage by the student. 2 years will be hectic
Placement Experience
As most of the alumni are very good place so they provide internship facilities in BSE, sharekhan, mmtc delhi, nalco etc etc. But placement opportunity is very less. Student need to depends upon placement cell of university not on dept.
College Events
In International seminar foregin delegates of commerce and finance sector come to the dept. National Seminar organized by delegates from different state, fincon is annual finance fiesta mean annual function over 400 b-school participate in different events, study tour organize by dept to Shimla, punjab, kodaikenal, puduchery etc.
Fee Structure And Facilities
If you compare with other b-school. Its is good having reasonable course fee. And SEMINAR fee extra. Course fee is 1 lakh and seminar fee is 16000. seminar fee is student activity fund manage by student representative.
Fees and Financial Aid
Medhabruti, prerana are the scholarship facility available. but as you read self finance course no more scholarship facility they provide. But course fee is very less that is rupees 100000 for 2 year
Campus Life
Liabray facilities available. Computer facility too. Annual sports university premier league organise by university. So everyone participate there. 2:1 gender ratio. Political effect was there but not now.
Alumni/Alumna
Alumni network is not that much good. Its average. A students secretary were there who needs to contact. Dept doesn't help to student. They bias between mcom and MBA(FM). So I will say stay connected with alumni personally If you are joining.
Admission
Apply online thourough the UTKAL UNIVERSITY website and as it is a self finance course by P.G. DEPT of COMMERCE so opt it while applying. Then entrance exam, 2nd step is GD and PI and 3rd is merit list
Faculty
faculty are very good. As most of them are retiring so university has to fulfill the vacancy of staff. But over the past 4-5 years university is not recruiting teacher, which is a major problem for the dept.
