Remarks

Shaheed Bhagat Singh College comes under Delhi University and is one of the best colleges in the city. With NAAC accreditation of A grade it stands out among the rest.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Course curriculum is quite decent, which falls under the CBCS pattern, i.e, Choice based credit course. The faculty here is highly interactive and is just a call away for any of your doubts. The exam pattern is carried out in semester format. 2 semesters in a year. Though, I'm in my first year of graduation, I have seen my colleges graced by many personalities. With lectures organized by various dept. it surely enhances you. Along with that, the various societies helps you to groom you to be a better human.

Placement Experience

4

The placement cell of our college is quite effective. Though, I am not part of it, but have seen their works. Our college is visited by companies like KPMG, DELOITTE AND MANY MORE.

College Events

4.5

Our college has timely events, either organised by the college union or by the various societies. There are events organised by societies such as music Society, drama society, quiz society, debate society. Also, with that various departments of the college holds various events: Commerce society, Political Science Society, etc

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure of our college is very much feasible. I'm from pol sc dept first year. Yearly, you have to pay maximum 10,000 rs including everything. Also for the BPL families, there are special plans in our college, where if you show the income certificate, you can get a 100% scholarship.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes, our college provides scholarship to the needful ones. The families having income less than 3 or 4 lakhs, are required to submit an application to the principal's office whereby then, they are called for an interview and gets a scholarship

Campus Life

4

Campus life is quite cool. The whole campus is covered with greenery. The gender ratio is very much neutral with mens in a slight large numbers. The diversity in our college is quite impressive, people from all the parts of this country as well as different countries study here. Regular competitions are held in our college.Campus life is quite cool. The whole campus is covered with greenery. The gender ratio is very much neutral with mens in a slight large numbers. Hostel Facilities

3.5

No. Our college doesn't have a hostel. But I have taken a PG near my college. It's hardly 100 m from the college. The expense in the Pg's or flats are very high. I have a triple sharing room and my charge is 6,000 only for the bed. Electricity and food is separate.

Alumni/Alumna

The student-teacher relationship is what a person should look for at a first. Most of the teachers are quite friendly and are reachable. The seniors are very much friendly and just don't feel like seniors at all

Admission

Prior to the cut off, you needed to fill an admission form in the DU website.Later, the college declares the cut off. If we meet the criterion with the best four scores included (English compulsory), you go to the college with the admission form, marksheet and all other essential documents. And yeah, you're done. Congratulations

Faculty

4.5

Per day we have 4 lectures. 2 of them are core papers, one is General Elective and another is either English ir Environmental studies. My faculty is one of the best. Regular notes, proper classes and accessible teachers. In my course, all the teachers have a Phd and are a graduate from prestigious universities including JNU, DU, etc.

Placement Experience:

The placement opportunities are mainly for commerce stream departments but the humanities stream also are offered internship from the government ministries such as ministry of culture and Home ministry. There are many private companies that come to offer placements. The students from 3rd year in particular apply for internships. The highest package iffered is 500000 and the average is 250000. About 45% students get placements. My plan after getting the degree is to go for higher studies.

Labs and libraries are not so good. And there are stray dogs who often steps into classes and make us afraid. College is not fully air conditioned but is on processing.
