Remarks

Positive- people around are really very nice, you will enjoy your three years here faculty members are well educated and friendly as well. You can even join any of the active societies like english debate, commerce societies or even dramatics, enactus etc Negative- you will rarely see people induldged in entrepreneurship and talking about innovations, more poeple focus on the academic rigor rather than harnessing their skill sets along with it

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course is quite research oriented and practical. The faculty here are excellent. Yes it helps students to get industry specific knowledge. Apart from that students have to select and learn a foreign language which is compulsory. Industrial visits will be there in next semester. This year was the first time when placement were given to UG students.

Placement Experience

3.5

For Economics the Big four companies visit Amity. Apart from that many other companies do so. UG placement started from this year. Last year there was 100% placement in PG. Around 50-60% students from campus are placed every year. There is a compulsory internship for students of 2nd year in summer for 6-8 weeks.

College Events

2

The biggest fest organised by Amity is Amiphoria. It is organised around March. Around 50 colleges from the town participate in it. Apart from that cultural events are organised regularly on the occassion of Holi, Diwali, Durga Puja, Janmashtami, etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is a bit on the upper side. The college authorities maintain transparency in the fee breakdown. There is additional 20000 charged at the time of admission which is refundable. The fees increase by 3000 per year usually. But the facilities provided make us feel its feasible.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college gives scholarship at the time of admission based on the boards results. Above 80% it's 25%, above 85% its 50% and above 90% its 100%. It's only for the first year. If the student continues to top the class then only his scholarship will be continued.

Campus Life

5

Gender ratio is quite balanced. Students are from nearby stated and also from the north east. Sports building is being constructed now. There are many clubs present and they keep organising various events. There is no politics, but corporate politics for sure. The events are not of very high level but they are quite good.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

No, I did not opt for hostel. I live in a PG. The average rentals of PG is 8000 including food. All you need to do find the right one. Apart from that one can take flats on rent which will cost arount 12000 per month in New Town area.

Alumni/Alumna

I dont know of any Alumini base as of now. But the seniors were quite helpful from day 1. Not only they helped in academics but also outside the college.

Admission

I got admission on June,2018 on the basis of my 12th percentage. Economics was always my interest area. Apart from that I was quite late in realising that. So Amity was among the last few colleges left. After filling up the form the dates for interview and test were given. The test was mainly based on 12th level economics and stats.

Faculty

4

The faculty is quite good and knowledgeable. All the faculties have great prior experience. They give insight about the subjects very clearly. On an average including core subjects, EVS, Behavioural science and business communication there are almost 8-12 subjects every semester. Also from 2nd year students are supposed to write research papers. There are lecturers always coming from industries for various sessions.

Placement Experience:

Placements in our College are decent. Students become eligible from the 5th/6th semester, and companies from media, PR, and digital marketing fields visit for recruitment. The placement cell also provides training, internships, and guidance. After graduation, I plan to explore both campus and off-campus opportunities in media and communication fields.
