Sometimes they don't seriously take our issues, so in that case, we have to protest against them but all the times they acted like our guardians.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course is basically job oriented and if anyone wants to research then he/she must do that. Jadavpur University is one of the top institutions across the country in research. JU publishes a number of research papers every year. JU provides a number of degrees like Bsc, Msc, BA, MA, PhD etc.
Placement Experience
In our branch of computer science the average placement is near about 100% every year but for the other branches like mechanical, civil, a chemical the placement is near about 70% and for the rest, the percentage is about 85. The college provides internships in famous companies like Microsoft, Adobe, Infosys etc. if you have good academics.
College Events
The students union organized both technical and cultural fests every year. The cultural fest "Sanskriti" of Jadavpur University is the biggest festival all over South Asia which is 10 days long held in March of every year. Technical fest "srijan" conducts more than 50 events on Artificial intelligence, robotics, android etc. There also held on online gaming in srijan. In the fests, the students do not have to contribute any kind of money because the fests are conducts with the money which are given by the pass out students.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is very low anyone can afford it. You have to pay just 11, 000 rupees for your four years course in engineering. Hostel fees are also low just 10 rupees per month. In college many types of scholarships are available based on your academics, family income, need etc. You do not have to pay for tuition fees or infrastructure fees, you have to pay just the exam fees.
Fees and Financial Aid
We don't need any type of education loan as the fees structure is very low and anyone can afford it. The university provides its students with many scholarships based on merit, family income, needs etc.
Campus Life
The gender ratio of Engineering is very unbalanced. Boy girl ratio is like 15:1 in under graduation 12:1 in post-graduation and 10:1 in PhD level. The campus is very green and suitable for study. We have more than 15 clubs like music club, drama club, dance forum, mountaineering club etc. The extracurricular activities of the college are very good and very useful to us.
Hostel Facilities
The limited number of hostel seats. The hostel rooms are good. The rooms are sharing and in one room there are 2 or 3 students stay. No girls hostel is available. We have a total of 5 hostels including pg hostel, PhD hostels.
Alumni/Alumna
They are very helpful. They helping us as our own elder brothers or sisters. Not only they are helping in our study, but they are also helping us in our daily life.
Admission
I am a student of computer science and engineering here, I admitted through wbjee entrance test. If anyone wanted to study in this college then he/she have to secure withing 1000 rank in wbjee. This college is the top institution in West Bengal after IIT Kharagpur.
Faculty
All faculties of our branch are PhD holders. They are good leaders also. In our final year, the p. cell of our college teaches us how to deal with any industry or company. They are less like teachers and more like our guardians. They are very helpful.
