Remarks
the university is well connected by the magenta line metro. The campus is beautiful and clean, there's greenery. There are music clubs, literary and drama societies. For civil service aspirants, free coaching is provided to the deserving candidates who clear the entrance and they're provided free accommodation as well. Coaching is also given for NET and SSC.
Course Curriculum Overview
Most of the teachers in the college are helpful and knowledgeable. The quality of teaching is good. Lectures and practical methods were used for teaching. I got industry exposure. The course curriculum is useful and up to date and in tandem with industry fieldwork. The student to faculty ratio for our course is 25:1. Teachers are qualified, but some remain outdated in work experience.
Placement Experience
Though there's a placement cell in Jamia but there are very few courses in Jamia which provide college placements and in my course there was no placement. Infact there was no internship as well. There should have been atleast a month long field work but that too was conducted for just two days.
College Events
There are various events and fest at Jamia Millia University throughout the year. Jamia has NCC, NSS, theatre group, debate society, sports teams, dance society, and much more. The university is having a sports complex providing students with indoor and outdoor sports facilities. The university is having cultural societies and entrepreneurship club and business clubs where students get ample opportunities to develop their skills and explore themselves.
Campus Life
Being a central university, the facilities provided here are above par. Wi-Fi, labs, and conference rooms are provided and are regularly used for conferences, seminars, or the skill lab sessions. A university hospital named Ansari health centre is provided to all the students enrolled in the university. The quality of food is also good as there are a number of canteens available in the university. The hostel is also available at a low fee and is worth staying with good and clean food. Gym facility to the hostel students and a very huge sports complex are among the various facilities provided by the college.
