I choose this institution and particularly this course, because they promoted inter-disciplinarily in their approach as well as their courses, giving a 360 preview. Apart from that the college held a good ranking in the country with regards to social sciences which was the school I wanted to be a part of.
The course is a brilliant combination of Media, Economics and Political Sciences making it suitable for any future field one might want to pursue. Each department that handles the mentioned subjects has their own set of activities to help increase the engagement of the pupils within the subject as well as increase the level of interest and understanding a student holds.
The placements are actually still in the development stage as it is a comparatively new course, however, because it is a triple major it gives the opportunity to appear and attempt for placements pertaining to various fields rather than one, giving a plethora of options to the graduates.
The campus is comparatively compact as compared to other campuses making it easier to mingle with the college crowd as well as network within and outside the college. The college also has a Student Welfare Office which is responsible for organizing interactive events like color week, Literary week and other competitions within the college campus. Thus always keeping the college crowd engaged in one event or another.
3rd and 4th-year students are eligible for internships/ placements. Companies like Purvankara, Live space, Centrix, home lane, etc came in. There were good companies but only a few students get internships or placements and the college doesn’t promise a job for all. The package isn’t much as it’s just mainly internships. 10% get interested in 3rd year and 40% in 4th. I want to work with a good company for 1 year and then freelance before I can open my firm.
There were no placements give for BA students except some 2-3 girls which sucked as we were not informed properly. The placement cell is ruled by our sociology teacher and it was such a bad excuse for a placement cell. The college made me lose sight of my plans.
I heard about this college from teachers saying that is a well reputed college a good one. My main priority was DU but as it required a lot of marks i was told to apply to one more good college and I chose Christ University.
I really loved the college but the assignments part is so hectic. The college has good faculty which helps us almost 24/7 and makes us comfortable to ask any questions. They always guides us to learn more and become a better person with knowledge and values
If there is positive remarks then their will be negative remarks too. There is nothing as such but yes the attendance factor is really hard to follow Sometimes classes are often let off
First you have register for Christ Entrance test and send details of your marksheet to them via mail then after you clear your entrance test you further have to write an essay on que which will test your logical and reasoning skills after the teat on the same day they conduct a Personal Interview where they ask you basic quey about the course and about yourself.
Most of the students get a package about 4LPA , but to sit for the campus placement you must have a CGPA above a certain number.
Good remarks are most of what I have for this wonderful place. But one thing that could change is the extreme filtering method used by the Communicative English Department. If you want to take up PyEC, you better be up there coz this according to the Dept head is meant only for a certain class of students. Even if you clear the interview with the principal, you may not clear the interview with the HOD here.
