Remarks

There are many remarks from external and internal sources. Yet every college has its pros and cons. Since I'm concerned only about the knowledge I'm receiving, I can positively say my course and department is really good at what it is doing. The overall university does have a reputation in newspapers and online, but as far as I know, it's a good place to study if you're truly dedicated.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Since it's clinical psychology from bachelors level, I think it is pretty in-depth. We learn a lot compared to other colleges right from semester 1. The curriculum includes many diverse topics that are involved in psychology. It used theoretical and practical approaches, and helps us in internships right from the beginning. Industrial visits cannot be done in our field, however the teachers motivate and drive us for internships on our own.

Placement Experience

4

We haven't yet been given placements, but there is a panel for placement. And the reviews are really good for the placements given.

College Events

3.5

There are many events that happen in the university. A number of clubs and societies, drama, music, dance, literature, environmental, organizing. Every department has there own set of activities and events. Common university ones include sports event the sangathan, and the Amity youth fest, these are very huge and taken seriously. A number of celebrity visits also take place each year.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Since it is a private university, the fees structure is pretty high. We can assume about 70000 per semester for clinical psychology And higher for other practical fields. Online plus offline methods are available for payment. And yes security fees is taken. Incase fees is paid late, a heavy fine is put on per day you're late. Incase you're a scholar, there is compensation for the fees.

Fees and Financial Aid

No I have not opted for any scholarships or any educational loan. The university does provide opportunities though.

Campus Life

4

There are equal number I believe of boys and girls. There are also foreign students and the age isn't just restricted to the normal age group. I have seen many students who are 30+ or even parents to children who are students in school and colleges. There is a cultural diversity. Strong policies are held for bullying and offenses.

Hostel Facilities

3

No I have not opted for hostel. However classmates state that the AC rooms are very well maintained and good. There are many pgs available near the university. Since I don't live in the hostel or pg I cannot say about the rental.

Alumni/Alumna

There are many alumni and they are helpful because most of them have opened there own clinics and centers. A number of students intern at their clinics and thereby get opportunities to interact and learn from them.

Admission

I opted for this course because it was a direct course for clinical psychology. In other colleges you get admission in applied psychology at bachelors level, but here they provide clinical psychology at the bachelors level, so a plus point. Also, it's an integrated course, B.A.+M.A in 4.5 years. I got direct admission based on my 12th marks.

Faculty

4

Since we have about 8-10 subjects our courses per semester, the number lecturers are the same. Most of them have really good knowledge and impart that knowledge very well, however few of them are a bit off track. The age would perhaps range from 35+ with a very few teachers below that age. However the younger teachers have zeal and enthusiasm to teach and have better ideas and methods of making us understand topics.

Placement Experience:

Placements in our College are decent. Students become eligible from the 5th/6th semester, and companies from media, PR, and digital marketing fields visit for recruitment. The placement cell also provides training, internships, and guidance. After graduation, I plan to explore both campus and off-campus opportunities in media and communication fields.
