Remarks
College management is pretty good. Our queries and problems are very well looked into. We have grievance cells to voice our opinions and suggestions. The management works towards the betterment of the college. We have a good security protection as well. Overall, my college is one of the best things to have happened to me.
Entrance Preview
Admission process was pretty smooth. I had applied online and i was selected for admission. The admission process was done quite effectively though it was really tiring after standing in the queue for nearly a couple of hours. Students from all over India had come and were waiting impatiently to get admitted.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course is determined by Calcutta University and it has its pros and cons. Electives are helpful in broadening our knowledge. I had my elective subjects as Journalism and mass communication amd Sociology. These subjects have helped me to get a broader view of the sociological status of our country, and journalism, a subject in great demand these days, is needless to say , has provided a greater approach to many other things.
Internships Opportunities
Unfortunately, do not have much idea regarding this. But i am sure it does. I have not known about anyone who has applied for any internship.
Placement Experience
It's pretty good. Various companies come to recruit talented students every year. Our financial course BBA is a very promising and well-known stream in our college from where companies recruit. Students have been glad to have got such an opportunity to sit for such interviews.
College Events
We are culturally a very rich college. We have various inter and intra college fests and activities. Our annual function attracts great audience. The practice room is always filled with enthusiastic students rehearsing for some or the other upcoming event.
Fees and Financial Aid
It surely is there. There are scholarship facilities available in our college for which application needs to be made in the college offuce with required documents. It always helps students who are in need of educatiom but are unable to pursue it due to economic strains.
Campus Life
Our college is a place of "unity in diversity". People from various parts of the country and various religions and lifestyle come together. It is a girls' college with all possible extra- curricular activities like basketball, cricket, throwball, swimming, and many more. We also have debate clubs, singing club, dancing club, nature club, NSS, etc.
Alumni/Alumna
We have an Alumni Association. It is really helpful. The association is headed by eminent teachers who were once students of our college. It feels great to say that our current Principal is also an ex-student of our college.
Exam Structure
Our college is pretty hectic regarding rxams amd lab tests. We are prepared through various internal assessments before appearing for the final university examination.
Faculty
We have the best faculty in Kolkata. Our teachers are really helpful and they have high educational qualifications. They have knowledge on a vast area outside their specialisation and it is our teachers who also assist us in various cultural activities. They are always wanting to teach us and make us know about various other prospects other than just the syllabus.
