I went to this college by referring to its NIRF ranking which is 13 which is although a good score. The infrastructure of the college is good .the teaching staff is very good. Teachers are very helpful and supportive. The canteen at the college is not that good. About the societies, there are no. Of clubs and societies to enhance skills in entrepreneurship, dancing, acting, or debate and there are many more that are very active as well. The best thing I felt about this college is that it has a very flexible timetable as compared to other colleges that I have known. The college also provides you with a number of opportunities for attending different types of seminars, competitions etc. There are many reputed alumni of the college. It has also a bright scope for sports as well. It has a huge basketball and football ground those who want to excel in sports, it provides a better opportunity. Overall the college is very good.
I chose Economics as my subject because I found it more interesting than any other. Although I had a science background. For me, Economics was different as well as difficult for me. The faculty for Economics is good. The teachers have ample of knowledge. We have to face tough competition in this subject because the students for this course are quite high in number. the faculty is well qualified. I liked the teaching method. They had also taken us for a trip to economics during our first year which is I think a good initiative. There are Internals before every semester. The paper for internals is very tough. And it should be to learn more.
There are many Internship opportunities provided by the college. A number of societies work for the internship such as the placement cell .many companies have provided internship such as career launcher, du connect, stanza etc.they offer you different roles such as hr intern or campus Ambassador Intern or in marketing and financing.
Students are provided with internships from the first year and the final placement will be done in the third year. The number of reputed companies comes such as icici, etc.7 lacs per annum is the avg salary I guess.
The fees are not too high .it's average. I didn't have to spend much in fees and books they are easily available .here are scholarship programs although I have not opted for any scholarship.
The fest which took place in Feb 2020 was named as TIDE the fest was outstanding. It went for 3 days which included a band, sunburn, and a famous singer .about the library which has all the books you require. The classroom is very good it has windows and well ventilated. There are sports clubs as well which are very active. College has huge basketball, cricket, and football grounds. There are many societies in different fields such as dance, drama, singing, debate, entrepreneurship skills, etc.
Placements are offered to the last year students by various companies like Wipro etc. Everything is handled under p-Cell which is the placement cell of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Khalsa College. Highest package was around 4-5lacs. Most of the students to go for higher studies. I will also pursue my further studies.
In their final year Many companies visit our college for placements. There is a placement cell in the college taking care of all this. Many students get placed at the college. The college offers a lot of opportunities through various inter-department or inter-college fests that widen the thinking cope of students. Nearly 2/3rd of the students from our college got placed, and many of them got placed in prestigious companies like Delloite, EY, etc. The Average package is somewhat near 8 Lacs/pa. I plan to prepare for upsc examination
It is a girl's college and the faculty was very good. Most of the teachers had done their masters and the rest of them were either doing their PHDs or were done with it. So the faculty is experienced and the teaching method followed is quite good. Apart from academics, they offered different opportunities in sports as well as in co-curricular activities. Exams were conducted every 6months that is the at the end of the semester, they were moderately tough.
The placements in our college are good when you complete your degree. Many companies visit here for providing placements to students. For instance, EY, infotech, Wipro, etc. I don't know about the exact packages students would get but yes the packages they provide are really good for the students who have done their graduation recently. If you want to get good placements or your dream placements ao you need to score at least 80% or above. So, I'm planning to do masters
Students likely to get campus placements after the 5th and 6th semesters and a lot of companies visited and hired a lot of students like Religare, ey, etc, and many more. the highest package goes up to around 10-11 lacs per anum and average 6-7 lacs per anum and %age of getting placements is approx 60-70%.my plans after graduation is to do MBA.
The placements of our college are worth satisfying and they provide ample opportunities to youngsters like us. The average package we get is 5-6 lakhs p.a. and it can maximum go up to 18-20 lakhs p.a. Students are eligible in their final years of college for placements maybe 6th semester. Many companies come to recruit in our college like WIPRO, AXIS BANK, ITC, EY, ZOMATO etc.
The placement cell of KMC works very actively. Big multinational companies like E&Y, KPMG, ATOM, etc come to the campus to hire students. But in order to sit in the recruitment, you need to score at least 60%. The highest package was 14 LPA last year so you can guess, if you have it in you you can grab this job also.
As I already mentioned earlier I want to prepare for civil services that is why I chose this subject. I also love political science and I think history is actually one of the important subjects to prepare for civil services. College offers nine undergraduate honors courses, various bachelor program courses, and add-on language courses. There are 94 permanent, 18 guests, and 35 temporary faculty members. The student strength is 2531. The teacher-pupil ratio is 1:18. Teachers are mostly experienced and really good with their subjects but there are some teachers who can just change their methods of teaching otherwise they are also good. Exams are tough but not tough, I mean I can't say if they are tough or not but you should be attentive in your classes and through with topics and syllabus.
The students of the final year become eligible for the campus placements. There is a different society for campus placements. There are many companies like Axis bank, Ernest young, etc for the placement of the students. The placements are about 80% of the students who apply for the placements. After the degree, I will pursue a Masters in Economics.
My college is an excellent field if anyone wants to persue the course of Arts and humanities it has an overall excellent faculty who are ever ready to help in any field and write recommendation for students who are interested and wants to further. The college maybe a little far for those staying in South by then it is quite close for people staying in the north as the metro is really close to it and it's just a 5-6 minutes walk from the station. The negative remark would be that sometimes the faculty members takes matter into their own hands and do not ask students as to how the procedure for the fees registration of course or security are to be done and causes a mayhem sometimes. Otherwise everything is good.
