I can confidently say that this college is a mine of scholars. Only because of this university who help their student focused towards studies, and are always there to solve their problems and difficulties.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum of MSc is good and with good standard approved by ICAR. We have 2 year with fully focused on horticulture in 4 semesters, we have field trips, research and training as well. Few of the subject in which we focus are fruit science, vegetable science, harvest pre and post-harvest technology, Floriculture, Landscaping, etc We have long lab classes which are more focused in research and good for us.
Placement Experience
Placement in our institute is a concern, college should focus on this area to resolve this problem and get more placement to department and college. There are more opportunities working in research organisation and doing higher education.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure for MSc course is feasible, for a semester the tuition fee is approximately 13500, and there are other fee and admission charges for first year. The fee is regulated by government since it's a state university
Campus Life
We have less extracurricular activities; we have more study-oriented program with less access to cultural and other activities. Sports facilities are available in our college. We have various seminars, research activities, projects, and other education related activities. Labs of the college is well equipped with all modern equipment?.
Alumni/Alumna
We do not have any kind of alumni organisation. We have less access to interact with our alumni. College must focus on this so that we get guidance of them and have a broad view of the opportunities available. We get our seniors help at various occasions. Our seniors provide us notes and needed guidance during lab sessions.
Admission
I got admission in this college based on my score in the entrance examination. I wrote UPCATE exam for admission in B.sc Honours Agriculture. I wrote the examination and cleared the cut off set by the college. After that I was called for document verification, and given admission to this course.
Faculty
Faculty of horticulture department have good experience of teaching; they are assistant professor and are also on JRF. They have background of education and teaching of many years. They are very helpful and solve our doubts, they teach concepts very well.
