Remarks

I like to learn about agriculture, this was the main reason and the college environment is also very conducive, field works, practical classes, prestigious campus filled with several students experiences.

Course Curriculum Overview

Our Syllabus is updated. We are provided with enough industrial exposure which provide us with additional knowledge. Most of the faculties in all the departments are good. They share their experiences also which make the course more interesting.

Directorate Of Students Welfare guides students to get placed in various fields. More job opportunities are available.

College Events

Campus life in hostel is little difficult to learn at beginning but it teaches us many important things for our future. We have many extracurricular activities and department functions. SANGAMITHRA is our college function which all the departments celebrate together. We have many competitions and culturals in this function.

Campus Life

Our campus is the example for the proverb "Old is Gold". This massive old and marvellous building is the foundation for many successful people. We have adequate sports facility, wifi and our library has enormous number of books, labs are also well equipped with experienced assistants and technitians.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel is our next home. Infrastructure is super. Room is shared among four students. Hostels are cleaned daily and regularly. Fee payment can be done online along with mess bill. It is easy to avail the hostel facility.

Hostel Fee: INR 36000 per year

In vlb Janakiammal college of arts and science kovaipudhur coimbatore ,i dont know much about the placements but there are so much placements for everyone the placement success rate is almost 98 persent

Likes

They allow all cultural events.They also conduct events in the college

Dislikes

They increase penalty if students dont pay the sem fees on time then they also increase the exam fees from sem to sem

Overall Good Experience at EEC

Likes

good infrastructure, clean campus and well equipped classrooms and labs.
Faculty members are supportive and explain concepts clearly with practical examples.
Good placement opportunities, career guidance and opportunities to participate in activities.

Dislikes

The workload can be huge sometimes, especially during examinations and project submissions.
some subjects could include more practical and industry-oriented learning
More campus activities and student interactions opportunities would improve campus life.

Placement Experience:

Students can join job drives from the 7th term. Many firms visit the campus for jobs and offer roles in tech and other fields. The pay varies by firm and role. EEC has a good job rate and gives help for job prep. After my degree, I plan to work in the tech field and grow my skills.

Life in HIMT

Likes

With regards to training and placements the college is very good . All training as per DGMA and IMU is strictly followed and the placements for B.Sc is 90% and above . The faculties and instructors in the college are well experienced and skilled.
The college is strict regarding alcohol and smoking and it is not allowed inside campus and regular alcohol checks are conducted . Discipline and safety is the first priority for the college.
Classrooms are air conditioned. Hostel rooms are good . Any defects in rooms or any places inside college which are addressed are rectified.

Dislikes

College doesn't conduct inter college events . Internal events are very less . The few events conducted in college has also many restrictions.
Galley food can be better . College canteen is not good

Placement Experience:

The placements for B.Sc Nautical science in HIMT is 90% and above . The placement drive usually starts in the 2nd year (4th semester) and for girls 1st year (2nd semester). The companies which usually come for placements in my college are MOLMI,MOLTA, ZODIAC,SANMAR,GENCO, ONESEA etc ... The package for cadets differ from company to company and type of vessel.

My great experience in HIMT

all staffs are we experienced in their field and good in explaining, very friendly
hostel is well maintained and college is always clean
everything works in college based upon the review system. so any issues will resolve quickly

Placement Experience:

HIMT has good placements rates to all the batches, espically for GME they are doing well good. many gets placements in first semester itself. many big gaint companies in marine industry are approching to HIMT for placements.

Exams can be usually easy as this is a five year integrated course
Some faculties are friendly as they themselves are fresh graduates

Dislikes

But most faculties come off very rude and disrespectful
The office people are not at all approachable
The student login has so many glitches which cause delays in downloading of hallticket

Course Curriculum Overview:

There is one end semester exam and 2 CIAs in one year.Endsem is for 100m and CIAs are 40marks each . There is one assignment for each CIA for 10m each. So totally both the CIA together is 100 marks. Then the average of CIA and end semester is calculated if 40 or above it's pass otherwise you have to reappear. The subjects are not at relevant as computer science keeps changing regularly.

I got admission in this college via counselling. I had PCB in 10+2 and gave NEET which a national entrance test exam to get admission into medical courses. The scores obtained in entrance exam matters a lot in deciding the merit.

The admission was through govt. counseling or by icar entrance exam. Application is available at tnau.ac in and we have to an Application fee of 3000.
