Tarun Katariya's Review On National Law University - [NLU], Jodhpur

I got into, NLU Odisha, Symbiosis law school Pune, Jindal Law school, IIM Rohtak for integrated management degree. Initially I studied at NLU Odisha for 2 months before receiving a vacancy from NLU Jodhpur and transferring here in September 2024. I believed that I wanted to do law from an NLU, hence did not opt for Symbiosis. Jindal was a last resort in case I hadn't gotten into a top 10 NLU, while I would have initially preferred to go to IIM Rohtak, by the time I got the call from them, it was already to late. For their semester had began, it was very rigid and rigourours, and being a humanities student, I could not catch up with the engineering level mathematics. You can get an admission in NLU Jodhpur through your CLAT ranking, you need to score a 97 for CLAT as per my year to avail an admission here. Or an AIR from 200-300. The college has a very good faculty structure and there is 20 research centre which provides us with very good learning opportunities. NLU Jodhpur is among the finest institutes in India for learning law. Apart from my University, there are 18 other NLU's, for which one has to give CLAT (COMMON LAW ADMISSION TEST). The admission process consists primarily only CLAT scores. CLAT itself is a very competitive test and consists of 5 testing areas that include Logical Reasoning, Legal Aptitude, Basic arithmetical skills, Verbal proficiency and qualitative reasoning. I think my college is situated at one of the remotest but beautiful location which is the best thing about the city Jodhpur. It has beautiful fort named Meherangarh Fort and other places like Mandore Garden, Umaid Bhawan, Jaswant Thada. The college is very renowned and have a name and fame. The college provides all the basic requirement which need to be there in the college. The medical facilities and 5 mess are there for food facilities. There is no Negative stuff because everyone is quite helpful. Only negative thing is that the university is quite old so a renovation is required at some of the places....Read More
