Remarks
The college is ranked amongst the top 10 colleges for pursuing science and has the best faculty and laboratories for my course within the DU Circuit. Apart from that, the campus life of North Campus really drove me towards choosing this college. I have always had a keen intrest in Plants.Botany used to be my go to subject in class 11th and I wanted to learn more about the physiology of Plants.
Course Curriculum Overview
The Faculties of my course were pretty great. They had a good hold over the subject and most importantly they knew how to be vocal about their knowledge. Although what I feel lacked was a positive relationship between the student and the professor. Even though some of the teachers were friendly most of them are pretty strict. Our laboratories are well equipped and the practical exposure was pretty good but there was hardly any exposure to the real world (Talking strictly about the academics).
Placement Experience
The college has a placement cell named Pinnacle. The placement drives start around the mid of November. Usually the students sitting in the placements are from B.Com or Economics. The major companies that come to our college include KPMG, Delloite, Decathlon etc.
College Events
The college has five major Extra Curricular societies and all of them are very successful. The annual cultural fest of the college is pretty huge but it doesn't happen every year due to alot of Politics. Although, the fests of individual Societies get a lot of footfall. I was a part of the literature Society and we had organised literary fests which had been a huge success. In the year 2020, all the ECA Societies collaborated to organise a single fest and that I think was the most successful event of the college that I've seen in the past 3 years.
Campus Life
The college is spread over a wide area but it doesn't have a planned infrastructure. The college gives a Vibe of being a vintage college since most of the buildings are around 60 years old. The libraries have almost all the books and in their newest edition. Labs are well equipped and the lab assistants are very supportive.
