Reviewed on Jul 20, 2020

Remarks

It is one of the Best colleges for Food Technology Course and It is at very convenient location, Mandi House metro station and bus station are 5 minutes away for the campus. Teachers and Lab staff members are highly qualified.

Course Curriculum Overview

The syllabus structure is very wide and have all the essential subjects. No, the college didn't provided any industrial exposure till now but the faculty members do suggest industrial internships to the students. Teachers are highly qualified and experienced.

Class Size: 45Course Fees: INR 29000 per year

Placement Experience

There is no such placement cell in our college. Our teachers recommend some internships only and also as I am in 2nd year i don't have much knowledge about it. But most of the students opt for Masters.

College Events

Our college organised some amazing annual fests.Thousands of students participated in them. Some major artists have performed in our college like Ayushmann Khurrana, Mohit Chauhan, etc. The crowd is also very nice.

Campus Life

Our campus is huge with all the important elements like Sports ground, 2 lawns, botanical garden, Wi-Fi, library and all essential lab equipments. The buildings need to be repaired and the number of classes is less as compared to the number of students.

Dislikes

limited campus space compared to other bschools
limited hostel availability options available
Heay Academic workload, especially during mid terms

Course Curriculum Overview:

course curriculum is relevant and mostly what the market wants in future and whats coming ahead for us. Python is taught as its going to be huge ahead and other things are also added. There is not much gap between mid term and end term as trimester are short.

We have well maintained library with more than 40000 books and documents, there are study cabins and all facilities required to have a productive day
There ample opportunites provided to students to amp up their game. The clubs and societies themselves take initiative to provide certifications to students, more than case comps are floated and students are encouraged to take part in them
The level of discipline and commitment expected of us is very similar to the other top MBA colleges, multiple assignments, deadlines, case submissions etc. The curriculum also requires students to make use of resources like Bloomberg and prowess.

Dislikes

The quality of cohort can be better. The quality is deteriorating from the senior batch to the juniors
Not being a residential insititute is a big challenge, as the load of work is the same as any residential insitute but most students also have additional buden of travelling which becomes very taxing in the long run.
There is some level of politics that goes on in student societies which can become toxic sometimes.

Placement Experience:

The college actively provides placement support, students are eligible for placements from the first trimester itself. Last year more than 150 companies took part in the placement process. The highest offer made was 24 LPA and the average was 12.32 LPA. 99% of the 2026-2028 batch got placed by April 2026.

Social interaction is good in this college
Greenery around the campus, fresh air comes directly

Dislikes

Infrastructure could have been more better
The college seriously needs a renovation

Course Curriculum Overview:

Honestly, the curriculum is quite good and covers the main subjects needed for B.Pharm. I chose this course because it gives a good mix of pharmaceutical theory and practical knowledge. The practical classes help in understanding the concepts better and the course provides a useful foundation for further studies and future jobs in the pharmaceutical field.

Lady Irwin College "A College Of Dream"

During my tenure, we get admission through the percentage of our 12th board marks. However the polocies has changed now. For admission in our college now students has to attempt CUET UG exam and then have to score as per the cut off list. Application form. Our college offers only three course in graduation. Eligibility for Bachelors in Home science, students from any background (humanities, commerce, and science) can apply. But for B.Sc Honours and Bachelors in Food Technology students must have chemistry and physics in their 11th and 12th as its a complete science-based course. Cut off list generally goes 89-93% but seats are researved for ST/SC and OBC candidates. Admission form released on the website and its generally a simple form that ask for personal details, educational qualification, and documents as proof. After clearing cut off, college verify documents in physical form. This procedure takes time as college has limited 4-5 members in administration department....Read More

The admission process is quite simple, it starts by submitting the documents, paying the fees, and then attending the orientation. I will recommend going to this college because of a lot of factors like education quality, faculty, location of the college and the most prominent one is the girl's college, being in a girl's college has numerous benefits....Read More

Good and nice college to opt for if one wants to be a dietitian.

Admission process was totally offline first i had to fill out the form for it then the cut off came for it in which i found my name. Then i go to college and completed further admission process by submitting my documents and submitting fees for the course. Admission in the course totally depends upon the merit list and no entrance is there for it. For reservation benefits i would say some seats are already reserved for sc students in every course so same goes in this course as well. Admission process was smooth overall....Read More
