Remarks

Because it is one of the best college of home sci in asia and also 21st rank in all over india college and also delhi university best college for home sci and the course home sci is a multidisciplinary so we have alots of options and opportunities. It has food and nutrition, Resource Mangement, human Development, fabric and apparel science and communication and extention.

Course Curriculum Overview

All faculties and teachers are good in my college. Everything thing are mention in college website or notice board and also give teachers to students like syllabus, notes etc. I am from fabric and apparel sci faculty, there are all teachers are too hood and polite and very helpful.

Course Fees: INR 25000 per year

There are good opportunities of job after post graduated. Some alumni are very famous like fashion designer Ritu Kumar. And most of the alumni are settled. Every year there is alumni meet where students and alumni meets together and most of the student go for entrepreneur

College Events

Campus life of my college are best there are lots of socities which we can join and enhance our skill and win the prices from other universities. There are lots of events happening a year. Fest was in feb which is for 2 days and in oct last there are dj evening and so on

My college are very active in societies. There are lots of society and win the prices of other university or college. Fully wifi campus, library are well maintained and all the needed or other good books are available. Labs are fully furnished and air conditioner and all the needed equipment were there.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel infrastructure was not so good. In a room there are 6 students which is difficult to stay there are no personal life and food are also not so tasty.There are the holy festivals are celebrated and also other festivals too. Good atmosphere between students. But I am highly not satisfied with my hostel rooms, washrooms and food quality.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Some knowledge some confusion

Placement Experience:

Students of 6th sem are eligible for the campus selection process. Our course also have placement programs. Some companies that visit here are TCS, Wipro and few more the no of offers made depend upon the performance of student in the placement cell. The highest package as per my knowledge is 13 lakhs and the average here is 6 lakhs. Sorry for the inconvenience but I don't have any knowledge regarding the job profile given. The placement percentage changes every year depending upon the respective batch. My planning after the course is either placement otherwise my prime goal CSE.

Lady Irwin College "A College Of Dream"

During my tenure, we get admission through the percentage of our 12th board marks. However the polocies has changed now. For admission in our college now students has to attempt CUET UG exam and then have to score as per the cut off list. Application form. Our college offers only three course in graduation. Eligibility for Bachelors in Home science, students from any background (humanities, commerce, and science) can apply. But for B.Sc Honours and Bachelors in Food Technology students must have chemistry and physics in their 11th and 12th as its a complete science-based course. Cut off list generally goes 89-93% but seats are researved for ST/SC and OBC candidates. Admission form released on the website and its generally a simple form that ask for personal details, educational qualification, and documents as proof. After clearing cut off, college verify documents in physical form. This procedure takes time as college has limited 4-5 members in administration department....Read More

Good and nice college to opt for if one wants to be a dietitian.

Admission process was totally offline first i had to fill out the form for it then the cut off came for it in which i found my name. Then i go to college and completed further admission process by submitting my documents and submitting fees for the course. Admission in the course totally depends upon the merit list and no entrance is there for it.
