Remarks

I wanted to pursue aeronautical engineering, I had alot of research on it, discussed with my family then I finally reached to HITS, CHENNAI. My uncle lives there so I told him to find more information regarding this institute, after all, HITS, Chennai is the best known for courses like, Aerospace, Aeronautics, CS, Automobile engineering. This institute authorities are really helpful, as covid phase is going on, I had no idea how admission process will be taken further after I had qualify the exam but Hindustan's authority and every staff member is very cooperative and helpful.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course: If I talk about the course I opted for (btech aeronautics) then, this institute is perfect for it and well known for this course. Curriculum: The institute provides a proper balance of study and curriculum. Besides of study, it has its own basketball team which recently represented the institute at international level, then it has all other activities like, horse riding, gymnastics, dance, art, etc. Academics: This institute has the best academics faculty. They help students with everything. Proper labs, workshops, etc. are provided to the students. Faculties: Hindustan Institute, has the best faculty. If I talk about btech aeronautics, then it has approx 45 PhD professors and all of them guide their students in best interactive ways.

Course Fees: INR 12 per year

Placement Experience

4.5

Placements: Placements depends upon the students interest and whole academic report. Many companies come like Infosys, Amazon, etc. If the academic report of the student is really good, then there's the higher chance of him/her to get recruited easily.

College Events

Fest: college fest are one of the biggest management festival of our college. Many celebrities do come, and other professors to encourage students enthusiasm. Best part about the institute is they encourage their students to participate, they encourage participation of the students in different activities, and even few are managed by students only.

Campus Life

Campus : Campus really good, it has separate buildings for respected departments, all the departments have their own kind of designs. Canteen area is really good, and it's designed is based on theme. It's really colourful and gives students a vibe towards their goals. It also has play grounds, basketball courts, separately, auditorium, etc.

From the very entry into your third year, you will be eligible to most of the placements. The training provided is very exquisite and some of the trainings start as early as 1st year. 2026 highest package was 55LPA. A Good College Experience with Opportunities for Learning and Growth

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is fairly relevant and comprehensive, covering both theoretical concepts and practical applications. It provides a good foundation for technical knowledge, but including more industry-oriented projects, hands-on training, and updated technologies would make it even better for future career opportunities.

It is the Good college and got opportunities in the sports and other activities.

Likes

It is better than my old college and giving free food and place to sit in the college campus.
In sports they are also helping for dearness allowance for playing matches and travelling.
They are also giving us the space to study and ask doubts without any hesitation

Dislikes

Canteen is not good and it is very congested
Some of teachers are not coming to the classes properly and they are also not teaching properly
Home guard is the problem in college. They are always making issues while parking the vehicles

Course Curriculum Overview:

Studying Master of commerce is okay. The same thing and few same subjects which I studied in undergraduate. Classes are good and we are also having some gaps. Not a big difference and 1 or 2 subjects are new for us. I want to suggest that to give holiday after the semester exams. But not before that. It is quite difficult for us to study. It will be easy for us to ask doubts.

HONEST TRUTH ABOUT COLLEGES

I did my JEE mains preparation for 2 months and got 87.8 percentile but the cutoff for the year 2022 was 88 percentile for general category. I still had option to join various NITs for cse and other courses, but I have made my mind to study only aeronautical engineering. So I did some research and came to know about this college. I am saying this again. This college is the best for this course apart from IITs. But the faculties may not be what you expected. There are entrance exams but I personally think it's a scam. You will get a direct addmission in this college...Read More

Vibrant Cmapus life at HITS: Academics, Oppurtunities and Social Engagement

I had applied to SRM, VIT, KCG and SNU. I chose this college as it has a relaxed campus culture compared to other colleges, they also have international exposure which helps us migrate to other foreign universities for a semester exchange program. I was selected in SRM and VIT-AP but was rejected from SNU during the interview session and seat limitation, I would have gotten rejected as I wasnt confident in the interview session. The admission process at HITS is simple, you have to register for the HITSEEE exam from their website and its an exam that you can write from your house, the basic eligibilty is 10+2 with atleast 50 percent in maths, physics and chemistry, they also accept TNEA exam students and give direct admission to the NRI students. The cuttoff depends on the course and category and might vary based on reservations as well. The admission experience was pretty straightforward, post the confirmation mail about the rank after writing the HITSEEE exam, there will be a counselling session where we could choose our course and department based on our rank. There is also a management quota for students who wouldnt have performed well in the entrance exam and they are charged more fees than the others....Read More
