Remarks
This was the first University I came to know about a s child and later on I got to know about other universities and after 12th just gave it a shot on the entrance and luckily got into it. Equal balance between studies, co curriculars and extra curriculars. I chose Economics honours because that subject always interested me in school also and economics is the subject that I scored the most in class 12 boards.
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum, exposures and very well in here but since it is a private University, the studies and balancing other departmental works and extra curricular works becomes quiet hectic. Although after 1st year, the students become used to it and are able to manage a lot of things at once and it actually helps us for the future as in how to tackle multiple things at once. There are no student Union in my University so no strikes like DU has. We have student council to whomever a student can complain about anything that needs a change and the student council will have the meeting with the concerned faculty in charge in a dignified manner.
Internships Opportunities
Compulsory internships in our campus is in the 3rd year. I am in my 3rd semester and mid way through it. So as of now we haven't been asked to do internships which the college provides us.
Placement Experience
Since I just completed my 1st year I do not have complete details about how the process for placement and job opportunities go. But every student does get placed in some or the other company with a great package of salary structure.
College Events
Usually we concentrate on inter campus competition but in the month of February we have blossoms where outside campuses are invited for many event like dance( group dance), singing, nukad natak, art & lit and many more.
Campus Life
The infrastructure is top notch with all the latest equipments, volleyball ground, basketball court, football ground, table tennis, chess, badminton. A well furnished auditorium. We have a library that has all the books be it academics or any other. Students usually issue the books and that issue time is for 2 weeks. Also our website student login gives the details about any book one is searching for whether is is available in the library or not. Late return of the books comes along with the payment of fine in the accounts office.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel for boys and girls are available in campus as well as off campus. In total there are 4 hostels for now and 2-3 new hostels being built currently off campus. Out of all this there are 2 hostels that at win campus ( boys & girls). Since I was in in campus hostel for the 1st year, the rooms are based in triple sharing with 6 common bathrooms which are every neat and clean looked after by the cleaning staff. About the off campus hostels I'm not sure about the room sharing structure.
