IIM Sirmaur Review

IIM Sirmaur follows the Common Admission Process (CAP). The final selection of candidates for the MBA program at the institute will be based on the marks secured by them in the CAT examination, Personal Presence Process (Personal Interview), Academic Profile, Work Experience and Diversity (Gender/Academic Disciplines).

There are a total of 6 terms in the MBA program offered at IIM Sirmaur. The first 4 terms have a fixed curriculum that focuses on the core and the fifth and sixth term has electives that students can choose according to their preference.

More than 60 companies participated in the summer internship process of IIM Sirmaur. The highest salary package offered is INR 78,000 and the average salary package offered is INR 40,500. Some of the top recruiters of IIM Sirmaur summer internship are ICICI Bank, Nasscom, RAK Ceramics, Muthoot Fincorp, BATA, RAAM Group, V-Guard, Royal Brothers, Emboss, and Xpress Minds.

The highest salary offered in the final placement process is INR 26 LPA and the average salary package offered is INR 11.28 LPA. More than 75 companies participated in the final placement process. Some of the top recruiters are ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank, Muthoot Fincorp, Kent, ICICI Prudential, Byjus, Tech Mahindra, Naukri, MindTree, and Lenskart.

The first year fee for the MBA program offered at IIM Sirmaur is INR 11.75 Lakh. An amount of INR 50,000 should be paid initially at the time of admission which will be adjusted against the tuition fee.

IIM Sirmaur has a library that is equipped with over 1,80,000 e-books and print books, print and e-journals, and online databases. The library is spacious and air-conditioned with designed furniture and fittings. The classrooms of the institute are of capacity to accommodate 60 students. It has good internet connectivity to facilitate presentations. The seminar room of the Institute is equipped with the latest technology to enable full HD and multi-way video conferencing.

IIM Sirmaur provides hostel accommodation to students. The rooms are provided on twin sharing basis with modern amenities. Hostel buildings are located close to the academic building. A separate bed, mattress, study table with chair, almirah, and book rack is provided to all the students at the hostel. Washing Machine, pantry set up on each floor, common room with tv, water coolers with purifier and laundry service are also available at the hostel.

There is no group discussion round at IIM Sirmaur admission. The initial admission criteria to the MBA program is the CAT examination score and the second screening process includes Personal interview. The final selection will be based on the CAT score, PI Score, Academic Profile, work experience in the relevant field and diversity (Gender/Academic Discipline).
