So far, my experience with my college life was great beyond any expectation. My involvement in sports was encouraged and I was invited for one of the cross country cycling trips they organised.
Entrance Preview
There are two main exams for architecture, AIEEE and NATA. I appeared for both, Jamia had their own exam. Somehow the other colleges that recognised admission through NATA, did not seem to have a decent reputation as compared to Jamia Millia Islamia .
Internships Opportunities
Department of Architecture, Jamia Millia Islamia, does not call companies for internships. They believe the students to be capable of handling their own internship options. Considering how this a professional course, many students are known to have interned at the end of each year, with a stipend ranging from Rs. 2000 pm to Rs. 10000 pm, throughout the main four years of the course. At the end of the final year, the general stipend offered is usually around Rs. 17000.
College Events
Jamia Millia Islamia hosts an annual programme called 'Talimi Mela' translated as the Education Fair, which is celebrated by the entire university. Rest, every department has their own fest.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is very nominal with an annual of something around Rs 9,000 pa for the day batch, and around Rs. 30,000 for the evening/ the self financing batch.

JMI usually offers freeships based on the results at the end of each year, but any other scholarships .
Alumni/Alumna
The alumni and the prevalent seniors in the college are extremely supportive throughout the course. Any assistance that one needs to get through the course is provided by them.
