My college experience

The college is good especially the gardens, the teachers are strict, good for the students who really wanna study. The canteen is also good, classes are sometimes smaller for the occupancy. During admission in 2019 in June and July we need to go to college after seeing at the portal online but this year online admissions happened due to a pandemic. The locality outside college is so damn classy, I keep on dreaming and working for the luxury cars that pass your way every time you are out of college. Delhi University official website was enough for notifications and even I prefers Collegedunia and Siksha.

I wanted to know about the actual scenarios of the market that's why I chose this course, the student-faculty ratio is quite good and in tutorials, mentors are also given in pairs to students so that they can get the concept well. PhD is the qualifications as it's the Hons course and a good amount of experience, midterm exams are done quite well, the teacher gives us chances to improve by giving two-three tests and giving us the best out of marks in internal.

I actually don't know the internships provided as I do outside college internships because I genuinely feel college internship don't give you the actual field exposure that a student really requires to get a good package and job.

From third year starting you become eligible for sitting in placements and for the internship fairs you are eligible from the first year itself, you learn a lot in them, the highest package goes to 6-7lpa, which is fine as per DU, but not for our life of course, so just prefer to be in placements for testing your skills. 90% gets placements, I am into entrepreneurship stuff so will be sitting in placements just to test myself where I stand and can I negotiate as per my qualifications.

Cost to study is cool like for one year 6000 is very less, our college doesn't offer a scholarship if you take admission via merit maybe there are scholarship if you give entrance and financial assistance is given to the different castes like SC ST OBC as far as I know.

Maitreyi people conduct a lot of fests of different clubs and cell and it's been an enjoying part of campus life, E-cell conduct entroscope in which many colleges are there to participate, the annual fest is conducted mostly in the month of February. Classrooms are good, but summers hit hard due to no ACs, sports like basketball and taekwondo are really good, you can be a part of NCC, theatre group, fashion society which is in top 5 of DU.

Girls hostel was in construction before lockdown, but recently we visited college it's looking quite good and is almost complete, hoping so the facilities are gonna be really good there, the meal facilities and allowances that will be given to girls will be really great as per said.
