Remarks

GEC, Aurangabad is an autonomous institute of the Government of Maharashtra i.e it does not affiliate with any other universities. It is in 5th position among all other engineering colleges in Maharashtra in the facilities. The admission process was easy, just we have to carry all the documents while going for admission and the admission process didn't take much time. It was completed in nearly about 15 minutes. The reason for preferring this college is that the campus of the college is very good and the college maintained the environment very well and there is also one large playground for students to play games.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

I have an interest in the Electrical field dealing with current and electricity. The faculty-student ratio of GECA is about 1:15 as per AICTE guidelines. All the faculty members are all educated and some of them have done PhD in different subjects. And their teaching method is good they covered all syllabus in time. The semester takes 4-5 months to complete. First, two exams named class test 1 and class test 2 are held then the end sem exam is taken by the college. It is quite difficult to pass the term exams.

Placement Experience

4

According to the reports, almost 70% of the students get placed every year. The highest salary package was 7 LPA which was offered by TCS, whereas the lowest salary package was 2.5 LPA. Top companies frequently visiting GECA are TCS, Reliance, Siemens, etc. If I got placed with a good package then I will do the job otherwise I will continue my studies.

Fees and Financial Aid

There is the different fees structure for different categories in GEC Aurangabad. The fees amount is given by General - 80,000 Rs Obc - 50000-70000 Rs Sc-1500 Rs St- 200 Rs. As the college is the government we can get a scholarship. Just we have to fill the scholarship form in Mahadbt which is the portal of the Maharashtra Government. There are various teams and clubs you can join and get a suitable stipend for the work.

Campus Life

4

There are many technical as well as social events held in GEC Aurangabad. Each department arranges separate tech fests. Our electrical department arranged a tech-fest named Dronix in which student from our college and other colleges too participated in that tech-fest. There is a library of college in campus and all the books related to the course are available in it free of cost means the cost is included in college fees. There is also a sports week held in our college in which competition of all sports are arranged by students and colleges.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Soo ever since kid i was interested in bikes this interest was all for me to take this course , my father is very bike enthusiast and it came down to me , i could easily take mechanical and other engineering cause these are common courses which involves automobile , but since i wanted to follow my passion , i wanted to do specialization in automobile itself and DPCOE was offering this course with great facilities and knowledge providing us a path in this lane of career in this field. According to me curriculum prepares us quite well as they conduct workshop which are relevant to outside world where we'll be working. If there were more practical workshops for us to work on would be great cause automobile engineering is all about practicals rather than theoroticals Professor should try teaching in physical part rather than taking lectures and explaining the concept by just words

Companies started sending their placements form to college groups from starting of the 7th semester. For particular branches, particular companies visited. Many companies send their placement forms this year. But each selected a max of 2-3 candidates only. In the strength of 76, 15 got placed on campus this year. Selection rates or placements criteria were too low.

Focusing on student's attendence rather than focusing on students concepts. College is not focusing in development of students only paperwork is done. No conceptul teaching nor practical. By doing this stuff we can get a btech degree but not the knowledge a btech student should have.
