Remarks

There is a free Wi-Fi facility on the college campus, different labs for different subjects, and many classrooms for every department. It also has 3 libraries, college cricket, football, and handball teams. The college organised different types of sports in college game time. There is a canteen, we get quality food at a low price. The college is NAAC accredited with an A grade. Placements are very minimal in the college. There are almost no placements. There is no committed placement committee or placement cell. The admission procedure for my course was in online mode. For getting admission in this course student should have atleast 70% marks in HS. Reasons: It is a top college for arts, and it is the best college in Kolkata. For admission to this college, students need to score top in a high secondary. I recommend this college for the arts' and sciences' students. It is the best college also for science. If you score 80% to 90% of marks in the high secondary, you can choose this college.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

I chose this course because I like to read literature, and it explores me to the periodic society and contemporaries. Professors are very much helpful and careful to every student. Teachers are always available for students whenever they have problems, even out of academic problems. The course curriculum provides the students with enough knowledge to be successful in their field and also helps to gather huge knowledge. Every professor is highly qualified and has a great knowledge of their subjects. I am not that qualified enough to judge their teaching quality, but according to many, they are pretty good. They use modern teaching methods.

Placement Experience

3

On average, 60% of the students got placements in the college. The highest salary offered was Rs. 30,000, the lowest was Rs. 8,000 per month and the average was Rs. 12,000. The mechanic, accountants, assistant manager, etc., were the roles offered to students in the college. About 45% of the students got internships from the college with a minimum of Rs. 5,000 to a maximum of Rs. 10,000 stipend during the internship. There is a placement cell in the college, it is much efficient and useful for students.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees are minimal. Total Fees is 12.15 K only compares to other colleges. Placements are the same as the other colleges under Calcutta University. The college doesn't provide any placements. But our beloved professors might help you to find the best path for your future education.

Campus Life

5

In the section of festivals, Ashutosh college organizes numerous festivals from a science seminar to annual sports. Not only that but also the student union organizes their own festivals throughout the whole year. ASL, APL, Annual Sport, College Social, Saraswati Puja, Holi Event, Krira, Lalon to Lenon etc. are the main. There are many more festivals as posto this pasta food festival, it is a joyful and courage gaining life for the students in college. Besides this, the college has well connected with other colleges so you can get opportunities to show your talents in other colleges too.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My passion and a bit of curiosity in International Relations led me to choose this course. The curriculum, in fact, prepared me well for further academic pursuits. For improvement, educational excursions and internship opportunities should be made available. The exam is held twice a year on semester basis, with papers set at a moderate to difficult level.

Placement Experience:

There are limited on campus placement opportunities here, especially for Arts and Eng Hons students. Most students focus on higher studies, competitive exams or off campus opportunities after graduation. The college provides basic guidance through teachers but formal placement drives are rare.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum provides a comprehensive retrospective of literature from the Old English period to Modern period, while also including English works by Indian authors to demonstrate the diversity and evolution of English literature over the years. The current curriculum I believe requires more seminars and lectures from guest faculties on contemporary research and topics.

I love to read English and it's easy for me so that's why I choose it. There are a total of 50 students in this course. Our teachers are very helpful and talented and also support us. We have 2 semesters after 6 months in 1 year. Exams are comfortable for the students who study the subject. It is difficult for those who do not study.
