Janki Devi Memorial College is a very good college in all aspects whether studies, events, or infrastructure. The admission process was total online due to the pandemic since their system was quite good and fast, even the nodal officers were very helpful at the time of admission I preferred this college because it provides good quality education and active exposure to the students preferring their fields. Moreover, the societies are also very good and active in their events and works every type of extra-curriculum activity is promoted by the college The teachers are well educated and friendly.
I choose B.A. Economics Hons. As I have a keen interest in Economics and I want to become a Business analyst further. The college faculty is well-educated and experienced, their teaching method even in online studies is quite good as they always try to create a lively environment for the students. The faculty-student ratio is around 12 is to 71 The 1st exam was OBE still the teachers made us fully prepared.
Yes, it offers many internship opportunities in the companies like BuZibrains, Ecoholics, NGO workshops, grow up group,s etc. The profiles offered are HR, content writing, marketing ,business analyst etc.
The final year Students become eligible for the placements since the internship opportunities have started arriving from the start of the first year. The avg package offered to the students is about 11 LPA The companies visit are Genpact,e n y, krg consultants, many more
The fee structure is 14475 which is totally worth paying due to the faculty, teaching, and other facilities. The other information about the scholarships and placements is not provided to me as am a first-year student.
The campus life till now I haven't enjoyed due to this pandemic period still the annual fest was organized by the teachers and the student union online was quite interesting and amazing. Its name is Symphony it is organized every year so the pandemic didn't impact the fest much it was equally enjoyable like an offline view. The students are also very amazing as the union always try to organise some events inter or intra department in which they also offer cash prizes.
Placements are offered to the last year students by various companies like Wipro etc. Everything is handled under p-Cell which is the placement cell of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Khalsa College. Highest package was around 4-5lacs. Most of the students to go for higher studies. I will also pursue my further studies.
In their final year Many companies visit our college for placements. There is a placement cell in the college taking care of all this. Many students get placed at the college. The college offers a lot of opportunities through various inter-department or inter-college fests that widen the thinking cope of students. Nearly 2/3rd of the students from our college got placed, and many of them got placed in prestigious companies like Delloite, EY, etc. The Average package is somewhat near 8 Lacs/pa. I plan to prepare for upsc examination
It is a girl's college and the faculty was very good. Most of the teachers had done their masters and the rest of them were either doing their PHDs or were done with it. So the faculty is experienced and the teaching method followed is quite good. Apart from academics, they offered different opportunities in sports as well as in co-curricular activities. Exams were conducted every 6months that is the at the end of the semester, they were moderately tough.
The placements in our college are good when you complete your degree. Many companies visit here for providing placements to students. For instance, EY, infotech, Wipro, etc. I don't know about the exact packages students would get but yes the packages they provide are really good for the students who have done their graduation recently. If you want to get good placements or your dream placements ao you need to score at least 80% or above. So, I'm planning to do masters
Students likely to get campus placements after the 5th and 6th semesters and a lot of companies visited and hired a lot of students like Religare, ey, etc, and many more. the highest package goes up to around 10-11 lacs per anum and average 6-7 lacs per anum and %age of getting placements is approx 60-70%.my plans after graduation is to do MBA.
The placements of our college are worth satisfying and they provide ample opportunities to youngsters like us. The average package we get is 5-6 lakhs p.a. and it can maximum go up to 18-20 lakhs p.a. Students are eligible in their final years of college for placements maybe 6th semester. Many companies come to recruit in our college like WIPRO, AXIS BANK, ITC, EY, ZOMATO etc.
The placement cell of KMC works very actively. Big multinational companies like E&Y, KPMG, ATOM, etc come to the campus to hire students. But in order to sit in the recruitment, you need to score at least 60%. The highest package was 14 LPA last year so you can guess, if you have it in you you can grab this job also.
As I already mentioned earlier I want to prepare for civil services that is why I chose this subject. I also love political science and I think history is actually one of the important subjects to prepare for civil services. College offers nine undergraduate honors courses, various bachelor program courses, and add-on language courses. There are 94 permanent, 18 guests, and 35 temporary faculty members. The student strength is 2531. The teacher-pupil ratio is 1:18. Teachers are mostly experienced and really good with their subjects but there are some teachers who can just change their methods of teaching otherwise they are also good. Exams are tough but not tough, I mean I can't say if they are tough or not but you should be attentive in your classes and through with topics and syllabus.
The students of the final year become eligible for the campus placements. There is a different society for campus placements. There are many companies like Axis bank, Ernest young, etc for the placement of the students. The placements are about 80% of the students who apply for the placements. After the degree, I will pursue a Masters in Economics.
My college is an excellent field if anyone wants to persue the course of Arts and humanities it has an overall excellent faculty who are ever ready to help in any field and write recommendation for students who are interested and wants to further. The college maybe a little far for those staying in South by then it is quite close for people staying in the north as the metro is really close to it and it's just a 5-6 minutes walk from the station. The negative remark would be that sometimes the faculty members takes matter into their own hands and do not ask students as to how the procedure for the fees registration of course or security are to be done and causes a mayhem sometimes. Otherwise everything is good.
