Remarks
I searched thoroughly on Google and browsed extensively for colleges known for BBA and Christ had topped a lot of criterion. Apart from this, I had heard a lot about the university and the holistic growth opportunities it provides and the companies that come for placements. All this aligned with what I was looking for and that is why I opted for this University.
Course Curriculum Overview
The faculty are highly qualified and have qualifications upto PhD level as well and take part in active research and thesis presentations. Traditional method of teaching along with smart boards are used but coupled with several practical in-class activities which keeps the students engaged and makes them want to learn more. The course is designed beautifully and covers a vast array of subjects. All exams are conducted as per the schedule planned before the semester starts and a good understanding of concepts is required to pass in it.
Internships Opportunities
I have opted for Marketing Internship in Casio India Ltd. I am responsible for promoting Casio calculators to the students if Christ University and have the responsibility of coming up with creative and unique strategies for the same.
Placement Experience
From 5th semester, students are eligible to sit for placements. Companies including Bain Capability Network, DE Shaw, Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, ICICI Bank, McKinsey, Deutsche Bank have made offers around 5-6 students per company. The highest salary is around Rs. 11 lakhs and profiles across different fields are offered i.e. marketing, finance and HR.I am planning on pursuing MBA from a reputed B School in India after my graduation.
College Events
The campus is always bustling with activities. Early morning before class starts and after four, when classes end, people can be seen running towards their clubs and groups to practice for one fest or another. There are several fests which are conducted almost every month and the annual fest, Esprit is conducted in September. Apart from this, major fests include Darpan, Blossoms and Inblooms where teams can be seen competing fiercely. Student welfare office, Centre for Social Action, theatre groups, dance teams, music bands are all present.
Fees and Financial Aid
I applied for merit based scholarship and got a scholarship of Rs. 4000 for academic excellence. The university provides scholarship for students in two fileds, one for academics and the other for extra-curricular activities. After scrutinising the applicant's performance, scholarship is given.
Campus Life
The university has a beautiful campus which is surrounded by nature on all sides and has many spots which entice your creativity. There is strong WiFi connection on campus and the libraries are well equipped with the latest books and are extremely useful to update your knowledge. There are 2 libraries in total, which are extremely large.
